Absolutely - in fact these two full backs proved just how risky it was putting in Gibbs and Debuchy last weekend. They have both earned the right to keep the shirts for the rest of the season IMO. I think Ospina deserves a lot of credit too.....although he didn't have a huge amount to do today, he can at least handle the fact that he isn't central to the action and resists the temptation to try and get involved unnecessarily unlike Chesney

As soon as Welbeck came on my heart sank.....

I don't care how good he was for Real Madrid, in 2 seasons this guy has yet to live up to those standards and provider anything to live up to the hype. He is way too soft for our league and at £43m is a luxury we can't afford - especially when that money could have been used to strengthen areas where we had more need. :banghead:
I Thought Ozil was no worse than anybody else,we know what he is about, his game is based on being subtle and cute and having players on the same wave length,he isn't gonna take the game by the scruff of the neck, hes been pivotal in recent weeks to our good form,if anybody proved themselves shite it was once again Giroud, while he plays as our main striker we will never hit the top
Okay then, let's rebuild the whole team so we can get to see this so called 'subleness' and 'cuteness'! Alternatively we could spend the money on players not likely to fall down at the merest touch and that might actually have a shot now and then - or at the very least put some fucking effort in!! It's a croc of an excuse and you know it!!

By the way, the earlier posters that criticised Welbeck for missing that late chance - which was deflected behnd him - should be aiming their ire at Ozil, who failed to tuck it in from inside the 6 yard box (having earlier not shot when in a similar position). :banghead:
I Gaurantee Ozil in a Chelsea shirt playing for Mourinho would be world Class.i watched him for Germany last month,he was sublime and made the world champions tick, his neat little passes were the differance

But we are NOT Chelsea and therefore that argument surely strengthens my original point!! :banghead:

Funny how people have different perspectives though, i thought Ramsey was poor again, cutting back inside too much and killing Ozil and Santi's room, too much time spent deciding what to do as usual and also being far too slow getting back to cover Bellerin at times
I thought Ramsey did ok - too many stupid flicks but they nearly all came off! Ramsey keeps coming back inside because he is not a wide player - he's not just uncomfortable out there, he just can't play out there. It's bizarre that he's being played out there.

Wenger bingo, full house in post match interview : didn't see it- check, handbreak- check. Too little too late in attack. Good performance from the back to the midfield, lacked a killer pass, we played to chelski's strengths not our own.

I enjoyed the renditions of fuck off mourinho.

No Chelsea manager should ever get a comfortable ride from the home fans.

Match was what we all expected it to be - all this time and le cock still cant beat the portugese c.unt

Lately I have seen people on here talking about how wenker has changed and adopted a more suitable tactical system, so can one of those people please explain to me why, in gods green earth, we have been forced to endure ramsey on the wing in the last 2 games ? How many times has this bullshit decision gonna have to fail before the senile French c.unt realises that it aint working ? He provides zero width, comes inside too often and is constantly twisting and turning but going nowhere

On the subject of twisting and turning, how many times did ozil and cazorla (again today) turn backwards and sidewards instead of driving forward ? Playing against a negative cuntbag team like the chavs, you have to attack them at pace because if you slow up your attacks it gives the likes of matic more time to get into their defensive positions

There is no easy way to say this so I'm gonna say it straight out..........giroud was cahill's bitch today  He threw him around like a rag doll and showed exactly why he will never be a top quality striker - a good striker yes, but nowhere near a top quality one and certainly not good enough to be number 1 striker for a club of our size  Of course when your only back ups are wellbeck and wally then you know you are in trouble

Another outstanding 90 mins from Giroud too, zero shots on target until he was subbed, one shot all game.
Superb. Can't wait for next season
He will never beat Jose, Yawn.
Talking of progress we now need to win 4 of the last 5 games to match last season's points total, went out of the CL at the same stage (but to a far inferior team), got knocked out of the League Cup at the first hurdle and need to beat Villa to match the achievements of last season's FA Cup

Overwhelming progress eh...

We were the better side but that's not saying much; we were far too slow in possession and in personnel. Ospina was lucky not to concede a pen but one could argue Cahill handball was one too.

Nacho Monreal looks like a mini Peter Crouch and the sight of John Terry bigging it up makes me sick.

13 games and still counting. That for a manager with more than 30 yrs of experience, deemed intelligent and obsessed with football. Absolutely pathetic!!!!!

Didn't the interviewer ask " as manager isn't it your responsibility to change things ? " :banghead: :banghead:

Or " didn't you think about changing your approach that wasn't working or ever looking likely to work ?" :banghead: :banghead:
