As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Like us, United are relieved to just be back in the CL next season. I reckon both are happy with the league standings. Can't see either team really going for it.
Don't be so silly!
So you are seriously stating that neither Arsenal or manure will play to win...and it will be all nicey nicey!?
FFS Get REAL will you.
Not sure my post warranted that much of an overreaction.
Everything I was "seriously stating" was in my post. Just a basic opinion. Don't see either team going for it.
You should be thankful that you only got 2 emoticons.

No. Not a chance in hell. The manager hates them as much as anyone, and won't allow the team to not go for it against them. Both sets of fans will be up for this, so I just can't see either team being allowed to just have a kick about here. If anything, the game could be great as it doesn't make much difference to either team, and they can both just go out and play.
It might not make a difference but it should. Firstly there is the small matter of automatic qualification for CL. That qualifier is a pain in the arse and is used every year as an excuse as to why we couldn't sign anyone until the outcome was known. It will be nice to not have that excuse for once and see what happens. Secondly, there's extra cash in prize money for finishing higher up. Again, that will remove some of the legitimacy around the usual excuses.
I'd like to see us beat them but will settle for a point to finish their chances of realistically getting third place.
As strange is it may sound this is exactly how I feel !

Oh! That's not an overreaction - Just amazed that you can say that and actually believe it.

There has been little, if any, evidence of this for our last 10 or so visits there in the league...
Regardless of the terrible track record up there, he's never set his team up to not really have a go at them, and just escape with a point. Attack is his style. The players have had a mental block up there for a long time, but even our worst defeats against them have come because we were too naive and went for it too much.

That's not true. Think back and you'll reassess it.
From a season ticket holder point of view, it is important to finish higher than 4th as this means we don't have to spunk one of our 7 Cup tie credits on a qualifying match. This COULD potentially save us £64 later in the season.

You just know Spuddy is right now on Google trying to find out if "AZ Alkmaar" is a local drag queen somewhere in Europe!
