Pleased for Theo. He was scoring bags of goals before he was cruelly injured so good to see him bag 3 today 8)

You'd like to think that puts him in contention for a place in the cup final, but he won't displace Giroud and I still think Wenger will stick with a more cautious approach and play Ramsey wide right.
Playing an inform player is vital, how else do you reward performance ?

Wilshere deserves a place on current form over Santi

Theo merits a place wide right over Ramsey

On current form that is of course
Sorry don't agree. Think Ramsey is one of the best players at the club and should be playing in his actual rightful position, not shunted out wide where he hates it. It's ridiculous.

I'd play Cazorla and Ramsey middle and play Ozil as the roaming 10, or just bench him FFS.
As for Theo, a hat trick in a meaningless friendly stroll and all of a sudden it makes up for years of underperformance?

If Pool are foolish enough to accept £20mil plus Theo I'll drive him to Merseyside myself, sorry.

Just back....trains a fucking nightmare with overground only going as far as Stratford....carnage there on way back. Still.....great first half....Walcott and Wilshere outstanding....coasted and tippy tapped second half. If we repeat the first half next week will batter Villa. I really hope Walcott and Jack play....bit of English passion and energy. Ospina worries the shit out of me but so does the alternative. Needs sorting in the summer

Just out of interest, who are you suggesting plays on the right? - you've said you'd play Ramsey and Cazorla in the middle (dropping Coquelin I presume) and Ozil at 10. As you're disagreeing about Theo, I'm assuming you think Wilshere should play on the right?

Nothing wrong with that of course; just that your post wasn't clear on who you'd play there.

Cazorla was poor today....Wilshere had pace invention and passion. Walcott was sharp as a tack. Gioud was poncing about from the moment he came on. Ramsey Wilshere Coq Sanchez in midfield for me....Walcott upfront

If it was down to me, Coquelin wouldn't be starting matches next season, isn't good enough for the big time IMO sorry. He's good enough against at least 11 of the 20 teams but stick him up against Yaya, Matic or a Pogba and he's got no chance. Would play Schneiderlin sitter, Cazorla and Ramsey just ahead, Sterling on the right (ok Theo, eurgh), and Pedro on the left with anyone but Giroud at number 9 (Benzema please!)

If Ozil must start then it's not wide as Le Clown does, but in a free roaming 10, behind a striker with pace and skill (so not Giroud then). If Ozil starts, you obv have to play 4 in midfield. In which case, would stick eg Schneiderlin as sitter, and a flat 3 of Ramsey/Wilshere/Cazorla. Problem with that is, fuck all width.

Ah, ok. I was more referring to the cup final really and who you would start in the middle and on the right, as you seem to be saying you wouldn't play Coquelin and Ramsey/Theo/Cazorla wouldn't be on the right.

Agree for next season though - it would be great to see another ball winner signed. I won't say Schneiderlin as I've not seen him play really. Same goes for Vidal.

This was probably his best half since he's been at the club. If he could play against muppets like this every week he'd never get dropped. His next injury is never too far away. Sell him & we can remember this game. And Giroud. :barscarf: :barscarf:

Walcott's display yesterday highlights what Arsenal are missing. A mobile striker with excellent movement. Giroud is currently integral to the way Arsenal play BECAUSE you can only play one with Giroud. Walcott's movement, pace, and willingness to run behind is a valuable asset to have. I really hope we keep him this summer & Wenger gives him more game time. I'd start him in the final.

Agree with this, it showed everything we've been missing with that static lump upfront, ok, he's praised for holding the ball up but that should be a minimum requirement or he shouldn't be anywhere near the side.

I'm no massive fan of Theo although he did improve a lot pre injury but all his goals showed Giroud up, 1st goal instinct, 2nd goal reaction, 3rd goal anticipation, it also showed how dangerous a side we could be with a striker that does more than just hold the ball up and offer an outboard for a side that rarely gets crosses into the box for him or rarely plays it long.
