THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

So here in his post WBA game interview are his ready made excuses for not challenging for the Prem title thist season - he names about 10 players who were out for parts of the season etc that he seems to be saying is the reason we didn't challenge - But surely it was our dreadful start in our first 8 games that saw us wave goodbye to any real hopes as the chavs sailed away into the distance...Not because of the injuries that occurred later on.

Same old...same old.

Oh ok, nothing to do with being criminally short in defence then and not having a proper defensive midfield player until January (when quelle surprise our fortune changed for the better)

I believe that his interviews etc are taylor made for Stan to listen to and think oh ok that was why we were shit, it wasn't Wenker's fault - special circumstances, accident the other team parked the bus, illusionary dominance .etc, etc, bullshit, bullshit

The only other explanation is that Wenker is too egotistical to accept that any of it could be his fault.... :rubchin: :rubchin:

Hey, why did you change my post? :x

Not that I feel violated or anything, but I said Augie is "special" which was clearly alluding to special needs without actually saying it.

By changing it to "Augie is/has special needs", all you've done is remove the subtlety and replaced it with poor grammar for no obvious reason  :cussing:

Alternatively next season we finish a point off 2nd, and the board thinking we are close to a breakthrough give Wenger a new contract. There is a very real possibility that Wenger will be here for life.

So Ancelloti and Klopp both available just as the West Ham job is vacant too :rubchin:

Think the scousers will consider Rogers' position accordingly :(

Think West Ham are Rodgers level and he is a West Ham style manager , or what is perceived to be a West Ham style manager . Musical chairs to follow and I have a horrible feeling Klopp will be at Anfield next season.

Ancellotti would love another crack at the premier league. Thought he was harshly treated by the chavs. Would love to see him take mourinho in a league contest. Hope its with us
He certainly has the right credentials to take over from Wenger.

Wenger will see his contract out , If we win the Cup that's gravy for the fans only , CL has been achieved his target of CL football which is the limit to the clubs ambition.
