As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Shammers will probably make an offer for jenkinson.....I hope he does well - Nice kid - decent R.Back.

letting jenkinson go would be crazy,Bellerin will be back at Barca before long meaning we will need another right back option,he should continue to be loaned out

Couple of seasons cutting his teeth at Geordies...then take over at ours at the end of wengers contract.
Sorted.
This is good. People were crazy saying they would let vieira or bergkamp take over with virtually no managing experience, they sounded like a bunch of messiah seeking geordies.
Let Vieria do his thing, makes mistakes, break things and people, win something and he'll be all set for the Arsenal.
it's good to some some our ex gooners go into to management, tio many manc sympathisers out there. I was surprised that Dixon never fancied it.

If Bellerín goes back (which is not the certainty you make it sound to be) then we go out and get the best RB available to replace him. Not settle for a lesser player just because he's one of our own (not saying Jenkinson is rubbish, just not of the required quality).
Bellers just signed a new long-term contract anyway so it's all moot.

Everything I've read about Bellerin suggests that will never happen.
a Rag in Barca asked who they'd like to be their right back and it was Bellerin that topped their list, watch this space,if not next season maybe the year after
Jeez, talk about talking us down. The only thing surely that will chase Bellerin away is if Debuchy gets back as first choice after Bellerins play this year.
Funny isnt it that here we have an "internal solution" yet we all seem to want him to stay
his name is niklas and he just won the german cup for wolfsburg.
but in all seriousness, I really want to see jenks return for next season. he is a gooner, and has more talent than chambers IMO. Why the fuck did we loan him to those cun.ts down the barking road? get him back arsene ffs

After the joy of Saturday.......this is the news I dreaded most

“And I came here to stay and to cement my place in the first team and be here for four more years. If I wanted to have played for Barcelona in the future I would have just stayed there and made my way there"
“I made that decision when I was young to come over here, and I’m not thinking about my future"
Bellerin looks to be integrated into London life/culture (if you go by his pictures) he's pretty 'street' if that makes sense, I'm sure he sees this as home now with friends/girlfriend here, I'm not sure I got that impression with Fabregas who always seemed to be a Spaniard living in London, Bellerin comes across as one of the lads so I'm doubtful that the lure of going back to Spain is as strong or his DNA is not so powerful.
His recent comments back this up and he's not someone I think will end up getting homesick or wanting away, I guess the test will come when he starts linking up with the National side.
The difference between Bellerin and Fabregas is also that Bellerin has won something already, when players are winning things or look capable of it they settle and don't look to get away, Fabregas wasn't and wanted to taste it and gave up waiting, I dont think Bellerin will be a problem.
This goes for Bellerin or any other Arsenal player that performs well enough to attract attention.
If the player gets a sniff of a Barcelona shirt how will he compare finishing 3rd/4th every season and perenially getting as far as the last 16 in the CL to what he can expect at the Nou Camp?
Barcelona win big trophies year in year out, if they had been knocked out of the CL by Monaco, only won their domestic cup and finished 3rd, or even 2nd, the coach would have been on his merry way, with no bullshit about confidence building up and being ready to compete next season accepted.
Quote of the week.
Aaron Ramsey, post cup final. "I think we’ve learned in the big games how to manage them and it will be important to go into next season with that sort of mentality.
“The rest of the games take care of themselves".
Like the home games against Swansea & Sunderland?
Am I the only one who thinks that it is too early to anoint bellerin as first choice right back ? I like debouchy (not as much as I liked sagna mind) because he brings an aggression and an orthodox defend at all costs mentality - granted bellerin has impressed a lot since coming into the team (another plus that fell into wenkers lap ) but I'm not sure yet that he is automatically first choice
