As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Pleased Barca didn't run away with it in the first 15 mins. Could be an interesting 2nd half.
Vidal looks like he's trying to do his best Chesney/Song/Eboue impression of brainless football maybe we will sign him after all
Pet hate: referee adding only 5 seconds stoppage time in the first half how does he come to that decision when there was a goal and a couple of bookings? - Juve (and the general public) have been robbed of a minute or 2 of the CL final - I know some will say that's trivial, but considering there's 100s of millions of people watching + it being the biggest game in club football + Juventus needing a goal, I'd say the referee stealing away a minute or 2 of the final is worthy of a mention (and a kick up the backside )
Thought Juve made a decent go of it. Barca are just streets ahead of them so for Juve to generally hold their own and almost match them in terms of chances is about as well as they can hope to be - just have to be clinical and have plenty of luck.
Has to be said that messi was largely anonymous tonight
Tevez was muck but I would rather have a one legged striker than to have Llorente as my striker
I thought Messi played well obviously not out of this world good, but great link play and movement. And involved heavily on the first 2 goals.
Mixed night for Buffon. Kept them in it at times and made one fantastic save at 1-0 ( ) but nearly cost them 2 goals with poor passes to his defenders and should have done better on the second goal. Shame, as I'd like him to win the CL before he retires.
Vidal was brainless in the first half - almost looked an Arsenal player
Thought it was a decent final, wanted Juventus to win and they really needed that 2nd goal quickly to get them on the ropes but Barcelona did what they do and that's why they are winners.
Credit to Luis Enrique, in my opinion he has destroyed the myth that Pep Guardiola is the big cheese, good manager (Pep) who's had the luxury of Messi and than European Champions to manage, would love to see him at a less priveliged job to see what he's really made off.
Vidal was a liability in that first half, didn't look like he could handle the occasion, Morata is decent, didn't see much of him when we were linked but think it's a shame we never got him now.
