The 2015 Transfer Rumours Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Not sure about Cech, no doubt he has been a great keeper but at 33 years old and had that bad head injury......dont like his motivation either for moving to the Arsenal, quoted as saying a priority being, not to have to change kids schools or house he lives in, don't set the right tone for me...

I think that's out of respect for his current club. He's never getting the #1 shirt back but could have it here. Shows some actual ambition but doesn't want to slate Chelsea publicly.

oh my cup overflows with joy. 70m. about the same amount handed to the six fingered mongobblins from norwich for winning the playoff megatwat trophy. not even enough to sign 2 world class players these days! I remember when our estimated transfer kitty was 100m in years gone by. obviously back then it was hypothetical money, eg monopoly cash which was mainly put toward buying diaby his new fucking calipers but come on ffs 70 mil? very easy to piss that up the wall. the scouse and middlesex vermin did it with 100m and we're trusting inspector fuckwit with 70m? christ on a bike :banghead:

In that case we may as well close this thread till a week or so before the transfer window closes - It'll save us all the grief and that sense of hoping..maybe just maybe Clueless will make a signing that meets with all our hopes and approval....

It's the hope that kills us.

Groundhog Season - Groundhog Transfer Window.

:suicide:
Has he just said this? Shocking if so, Ramsey saying this is also shocking, the players don't want incomings as it rocks their comfy little boat.

I/we should not be surprised by this and know exactly how this window will pan out, Cech will probably come as he's too good an opportunity to miss and then that will be it.

Season starts for us early on Aug 2nd with a game against Chelsea, give a good account of ourselves in this meaningless friendly and that's phase one complete, phase two is to have a strong start in the 3 or 4 weeks before the window shuts, a strong start means the PR machine will be out in force stating how the squad is super special and there's no one out there that can better it.

Nothing else will happen, the flip side is that Chelsea smash us and we get off to a bad start then Wenger will stick to his words and come alive in the last few days through panic.

He's so easy to read and the early start to the season is a godsend to him to try and get away from adding real quality to the squad and rocking his deluded boat.
Gunnersaurus everything you've said makes perfect sense BUT...can You name any player that's AVAILABLE and better than what we have! Unless fans can name them, then they can't exist! Because none of those players you want are "available"! Maybe Dortmund will ring up Arsene and offer Reus in a gift-wrapped ribbon?

TBF he's not going to say he's coming to win the league or CL, we don't believe it so he's hardly going to.

Lets hope so mate, still would prefer someone keen and with ambition, not just coming to top up his pension
