As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
The women's world cup is underway and England play their first game tonight against France at 6pm on BBC2!
So instead of making sexist comments why not use your energies supporting the girls!! Can't be any worse than the "watching paint dry" match the men played the other day?
Here's my take on it having watched a few games (admittedly not a large sample)...
I don't like it. In the same way I don't like showjumping or Formula 1.
As for your tax or supporter pounds subsidising women's football, I'm not that bothered. There's plenty of worse shit out there and you have to accept it as part of an equitable tax/subsidy system.
I'll watch it after I finish the ironing! And no Basil, that is not a joke. I genuinely have a pile of clothes to iron and coz the mrs is too busy playing football, I have to do it myself!!

I've taken a mild interest in the women's side of things at Arsenal recently. Carla Humphreys looks decent. I've not seen her play but she looks fucking decent
I wish england ladies the best, in the same way I would wish England's rugby team the best.

Andy Gray and Richard Keys feel your pain. They knew ultimately, it would end up with men having to do their own laundry.
It's pulling at my heartstrings hearing about all these poor Gooners stuck there with empty stomachs and creased clothing and all because of this political correctness gone mad.

Met Carla and Fran Steele after the cup final having a meal at Wembley (both in Arsenal kits )
my daughter used to play with Fran at Ipswich so said hello and asked how her parents were etc, both girls were very polite, and a credit to the club.
(I know that's not how Henry Norris meant it, but thought I should mention it)
Dara O'Brien was at the same restaurant, but I cannot vouch for how polite he is as I didn't talk to him.
I'm surprised the England womens team isnt better than they are since most of them play on teams like the Arsenal ladies where they can at least get games in consistently.
