Re: Wilshere charged with misconduct
Pathetic from Gibbs. Fair enough not favourite to win it against a slightly bigger bloke but to let him get a clean header like that is rubbish.

Typical Gibbs really. It didn't surprise me one bit.northbank123 wrote:Pathetic from Gibbs. Fair enough not favourite to win it against a slightly bigger bloke but to let him get a clean header like that is rubbish.
Delighted for Jack.

What the fuck are you doing Jack... helping out the same
(FA/England) that have charged you with misconduct!!
Score goals for England ! ......................Get let off..........................It used to work for Shearer.

Defended the las earlier in the thread and now my position has strengthened further. If I caught him in bed with my lass tonight I'd tuck him in. Gibbs was mint too. Super Jack Wilshere, he sings what he wants, fuck spurs
Re: Wilshere charged with misconduct
Super strikes from Jack. The 2nd was awesome!

Re: Wilshere charged with misconduct
Agree, lovely strikes from Jack, and in answer to where we play him, personally i'd rather see him play than Ramsey at the moment, i know Jack over plays things and tries to do too much at times but if he stays fit i just feel he has much more attacking intent than Aaron and that means more chances.
Probably in a minority but although Ramsey had a great season last year i just don't think he's as good as some make him out to be and it showed this season.
Jack had more impact in 2 or 3 games than Aaron had for much of the season

Without the goals it would have been an empty threat.

Re: Wilshere charged with misconduct
Was it any coincidence that our league form picked up after Wilshere got injured? Just asking

Re: Wilshere charged with misconduct
Yes, it was. Remember also that we had other players either coming back fit or getting over their summer exploits. If you add the importance Coq had on the team's results you have a myriad of reasons to explain the good run. Jack could easily have played in the role next to or just in front of Coq with similar effect to what Santi did. Indeed, I think he has more to his game than any of our other midfielders.donaldo71 wrote:Was it any coincidence that our league form picked up after Wilshere got injured? Just asking

Re: Wilshere charged with misconduct
International football suits Wilshere - teams aren't anywhere near as well organised as in the PL and they won't play such negative stuff. If teams played like Slovenia did yesterday in the PL they'd get hidings from the bigger sides - like us at Hull. Even the better sides allow a lot more space in midfield.
That's not necessarily a huge attack on him because there's a truckload of players who for whatever reason haven't done it at international level. But I've not seen anything over the last few weeks/months to convince me that he wouldn't spend 80% of his club career being frustrated by negative, well-drilled opponents making cynical fouls and running down blind alleys.

Depends on where he is played and what style the team plays NB. I personally don't have those fears and believe his struggle last season and early this one was partly as a result of not being full fit and confident. Hopefully he has got over the worst of the injuries and that full fitness (and Wenger) will allow him to show his undisputed talents.

I don't think he's really been fully fit since 2011 to be fair to him but he has also not showed some consistently good form since that time and his injury problems have showed absolutely no sign of abating.I Hate Hleb wrote:Depends on where he is played and what style the team plays NB. I just don't see him fulfilling this potential that is talked about and I would let him go to Liverpool tomorrow without a second thought if they offered £25m.

I wouldn't even for £50m because I do see him fulfilling that potential!!
