With goonersid on this one. Injuries have been more frequent and appear to have had an effect on his game from what I have seen of him. Still a good player but want someone 'fresher' .goonersid wrote:Not sure on this one augie I reckon his best days are behind him and has had lots of niggling injuries and would end up like the chavs signing of Ballack...augie wrote:Does anybody else Schweinsteiger would be worth a punt at £7.5m ? I suggested that he would be a great signing earlier in this thread but was shot done on the basis that he wouldn't be available, but by all accounts he is close to signing for manure and I would think that he would bring leadership, real grit and aggression to our team

Re: The 2015 Transfer Rumours Thread
Context is always easy to put in afterwards isn't it?When it's a key position that has needed exceptional strengthening for over 8 years, then a £3m signing from Stoke is simply kinda unacceptable. But hey, maybe Jose didn't know what he was doing when he spent £20-odd mil on that Matic fella
Not every signing has to be Sanchez, but when it's a vital area of the first team like DCM then you should be going after the best. Not non-internationals.
Oh and I didn't "dismiss everyone" - classic straw man stuff.
I dismissed N'Zonzi in particular. He is far from good enough. Next please..

I couldn't agree more. They are an embarrassment to our club and no more important than anyone else. Hope they face some serious backlash at away days next season.Gunnersaurus wrote:Saw that cringefest last week.OneBardGooner wrote:Have you seen all these suckholing around Gazidis....![]()

I used to find Arsenalfantv it quite interesting but since they've been welcomed by the club do to player interviews and go around the ground talking to player legends its clear what direction its going in. interviewing gazidis ffs, they couldn't find a bigger *word censored* connected to our club- oh wait they did, piers morgan and they interviewed that twat as well

Your missus has been reading this thread mate, (instead of knocking you up a decent dinner).

That news is at least ten posts old.

Re: The 2015 Transfer Rumours Thread
I remember in late 1976 turning on BBC Radio 2 at 7pm as there was a Sports Desk as part of the news..The presenter said "Arsenal signed Alan Hudson today ", that was it..a bit of detail about the fee followed. Earlier in that year Arsenal signed Malcolm MacDonald and that transfer had been flagged in the media. Now transfers seem to go on forever with most never actually completed at all.
Think the last surprise Arsenal signing I can remember was Eduardo with Diarra before that. (or maybe the other way around). Monreal was a bit sudden also along with the trolly dash of deadline day in 2011. But by and large it is a long drawn out experience. imagine what is like for those who swallow every media transfer speculation story.
