Does anybody else Schweinsteiger would be worth a punt at £7.5m ? I suggested that he would be a great signing earlier in this thread but was shot done on the basis that he wouldn't be available, but by all accounts he is close to signing for manure and I would think that he would bring leadership, real grit and aggression to our team

Not sure on this one augie I reckon his best days are behind him and has had lots of niggling injuries and would end up like the chavs signing of Ballack...

With goonersid on this one. Injuries have been more frequent and appear to have had an effect on his game from what I have seen of him. Still a good player but want someone 'fresher' .

When it's a key position that has needed exceptional strengthening for over 8 years, then a £3m signing from Stoke is simply kinda unacceptable. But hey, maybe Jose didn't know what he was doing when he spent £20-odd mil on that Matic fella
Not every signing has to be Sanchez, but when it's a vital area of the first team like DCM then you should be going after the best. Not non-internationals.

I couldn't agree more. They are an embarrassment to our club and no more important than anyone else. Hope they face some serious backlash at away days next season.
