Abou Diaby - Injuries Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Apparently they have given him the treatment Table that he has been laying on for the past 6 years as a farewell present .

Other's have suggested that Abou and the Table had in fact fused together and could not be parted !

Farewell Abou !

"The only stumbling block may be wages as Diaby has turned down a chance for a pay-as-you-play deal at Arsenal"

No surprise OAW couldn't completely let him go

Feels like a giant weight has been lifted off everyones shoulders now that diaby, at long, long last has left the club. :barscarf:

Everyone seems a little happier at the news, except augie of course. :D

Jesus, imagine the mixture of hilarity and jizz that'll ensue if/when Wenger ever leaves the club.........

Could get messy.

Some of the comments on here are quite shocking and disgusting. How about showing a bit of humanity to someone whose career was cruelly cut short by a horrendous injury, months after he had just moved to UK! Some of you need to put things into perspective. Diaby's injuries were known to the club and Wenger knew that he had musle weaknesses. The fact that Wenger failed to recruit cover in that position, knowing Diaby's problems is a matter he has to be held to account for.......not Diaby's. At least wish the guy well knowing that we supported him as much as we could.

His career was cut so short he was still on our books for the best part of a decade, pocketing nearly £30m.

I wish him no ill will, as it cannot be easy to struggle with myriad injuries, but it is for the best that he leaves us.

No offence, but take a day off, mate. Nobody wished the chap ill. Nobody said they were happy he got injured. And yes every fucker and his cousin has had a pop at Wenger for the folly of extending Diaby's contracts etc etc etc. Being happy we have released a guy that delivered proper fuck all but was paid the guts of £30million over a ten year spell doesn't make anyone the Antichrist!

But tbh, my sympathy for Diaby is limited. He will never have to work another day in his life. He hasn't earned that. I will though. I will have to work fucking hard for the rest of my life to pay for my home, my kids education etc. So forgive me if I'm not too upset at the multi-millionaire Abou Diaby being released. M'kay?

And I have no probs with that - sometimes though, my rep precedes me and I get viewed as negative on absolutely everything which is nowhere near the truth 8) It's funny the way things evolve/change......once upon a time I was by far the most realistic poster on here ( ) and then as I began to wind down my negativity sid and mikey took up the torch and carried it up to new heights - now none of us post as much as we used to (mikey hardly ever posts anymore :( ) but other realistic posters are stepping up to the plate and the same old debates are continuing on (and will until le cock fcuks off

Diaby does Dallas ,has a certain ring to it I think .
I'm surprised he didn't go for the pay for play, it would have been his testimonial season and what a bumper crowd and massive pay day he would get .
