Comparisons with Liverpool are pointless really. They were absolute gash last year and have chucked money at more mediocrity whilst losing more talent. They should not be a benchmark; they should not be held up as an example of good transfer policy; they should not be held up as a warning against spending money and making signings early in the window.

Cech was (and is!) a fantastic signing and it gave us some breathing space as it ticked a huge box. The worry was that it took the pressure and expectancy of Wenger and he seems to have withdrawn from the market accordingly. I'm sure we will sign one or two more players but Wenger will as usual expect clubs to be desperate to offload quality players for bargain basement prices in the last few days of the window which sadly isn't a reality.

Kolo Toure also posed as a car salesman to a woman he was having an affair with and is so scared of animals that he hasn't touched his own dog for seven years.....

I'd like to remember Kolo as an Invincible first and foremost - I really would. But whenever anybody mentions him the two things that spring to mind are the fat fuck blowing around after Agbonlahor at Villa Park on Boxing Day 2008 and THAT image of him peeking out from behind a shower curtain

There are mornings when you wake up and just know that it is going to be a shit day........when you read the back pages of a few of the newspapers (cant be arsed to put up links  ) and you see le cock spouting bullshit about how he cant see himself retiring, then you know that it is going to be an absolutely shit day  What is even more worrying is when you see him hint that he wants to win another league before considering retirement....the c.unt will be here forever if that is the case :banghead:

If I had the money (and the contacts) then I would "retire" him in the morning   :barscarf: :barscarf:

Read that last night Augie, utterly depressing and like you couldn't be arsed linking it here. He reckons Fergie has his horses to occupy his time but poor old Arsene has fuck all going on outside of the game so he will never retire. We've talked about thousands of ways to rid the club of Wenger down through the years on here, who's up for a final roll of the dice and chip in with me to buy the fucker a horse?

The club's greatest ever manager wants to carry on a few more years yet, happy days :barscarf: Deserves another league title for guiding us through the lean years, hope he gets it 8)

Wengers comments about us (United) this morning made me laugh, about us "spending too much cash now and changing our identity".

I've read that Arsenal have spent £380 odd million over the last decade or so and won just 1 more FA Cup than Wigan.

I like Arsenal, I've said this before on here. A proper club, like ourselves and Liverpool (spit). But there's no chance that Arsenal will win the league again or get near the Champions League whilst Wenger is manager.

He's too stubborn now.

I'd like to add, Klopp is perfect for Arsenal. He's said that he doesn't fancy a plastic club like Chavs and wants a challenge at one of the proper clubs.

Is this season last chance saloon for Wenger? I can't see him winning the FA Cup 3 seasons in a row (which let's be honest, has kept the fans happy for a while) - so surely if he doesn't mount a title challenge yet again, he's gone?

Wouldnt need to buy him a horse - buy the c.unt a shetland pony and listen to him waffle about the great potential it has and how it will turn out to be better than red rum was in his prime  Of course he would be sorry that the pony didnt cost as much as a thoroughbread horse would, cos then maybe ye d*ckheads more respect the pony more

Pretty much preaching to the converted here, mate. Arsene has now become what GG was towards the end of his reign; a once great league manager that has become a cup manager who has been bypassed by developments within the game. :(

The figure of £380million is very speculative but I'd wager it's not far off that, especially given the mental wages we paid so many average and shit players over that decade. :|

"Deserves"? When did that come into it? How about "earning" one or "winning" one instead of "deserving" one? What does he deserve for pissing so much of our club's money away on rubbish vanity project players over those 10 lean years?

The only thing I agree with in your post is him being our greatest ever manager. But those days are long long behind him and tbh he has diluted and tainted his reputation with his actions over the last 10 years. :|

Beat me to it, augie! Would just add that all those other horses were obviously drugged. Or "financially doped", if you will. :D
