Harry wouldn't be my specialised subject, but I'm sure there is an expert on here off the glory glory forum who might be more savvy on that subject.

Nice new avatar, SteveO.

Perhaps they should meet up with the demented blokes pictured in mine for some Wenger love. :barscarf:
Anglo-Asian relations would never have been so good.......just a bit of mutual AW loving is all it takes

:barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:
Could be just the thing to thaw relations with North Korea. Although I don't think one continent is possibly big enough for Kim Jong-Un and Arsene Wenger.
Interestingly, they have never been seen together in the same place at the same time. Ever. :rubchin:

Just saying.

http://www.skysports.com/football/news/ ... s-to-spend

Arsene Wenger has the cash to buy anyone bar Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo and has identified a striker, an Arsenal director claims.

Wenger has consistently said this summer he is only interested in bringing world-class players to the Emirates, and his sole senior signing has been goalkeeper Petr Cech.

But Arsenal director Lord Harris says a new striker has been lined up - and is keen to make the move.

We get a list of the players that Wenger wants," he told the Daily Mail. "On the list is a centre forward, but I'm not going to tell you who he is.

"You've got to get the other team to want to sell him, but I think he wants to come. It basically comes down to whether the other team can find a superstar to replace him, because they don't have to sell."

Several English newspapers have linked Arsenal with Real Madrid's Karim Benzema and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Borussia Dortmund, but the Germans say Aubamenyang will not be sold while Benzema's agent says he is certain to stay at the Bernabeu.

Money will not be an issue unless the mystery man in question is one of the world's top two players, according to Harris, who says Arsenal's board is ready to sanction a deal in excess of the £42.5m paid out for Mesut Ozil in 2013.

He said: "Money was tight when we moved to the Emirates but it's a lot freer now. In the accounts, there's over £200m in the bank. You could say to Arsene we've got no money and he wouldn't worry, or you could give him £100m and he might not spend it.

"We would back him to break the club's transfer record. If he wanted the man, he could have him. Apart from Messi and Ronaldo, he could have any player."

Has Mr Harris not just admitted to tapping a player up?

Hottest property in Spain a few years back wasn't he ? Went to Juve and seems to have disappeared for a while, his name resurfaced this week as one og LVG's mystery strikers.

'Arsene gives us a list of players'.............

Yeah of course he does. More like at the start of summer Wonga says.....'Right, we will wait until the final hour of the window and then offer no more than 8m for someone who can play in ten different positions.....

List of players my arse, Wonga doesn't have a clue who he's looking for until 5 minutes before we make an embarrassing bid!! :banghead:

Arsene's List...probably contains Internal solutions and players who could be killed by bringing in new players in their position.

A hilarious read. The mystery striker who wants to join!
Best part of the story is that he initially admits "there are no plans to sign anyone"...before going on to explain this huge campaign for this superstar virtual striker LOL. I've heard the same bs from Lord Harris for the past 4/5 years, and every summer we know Le Twat will leave the team short in defence (check), short in holding mid (check) and short in attack (new contract Giroud!).

It will be Dzeko - a slight upgrade on Giroud agreed, but hardly the super striker talked about, still rather him than Llorente
