Groundhog Day. The injuries might not be his fault but people seriously need to wake up. He's as brittle as Diaby and even during his brief spells of fitness he's very rarely looked half the player he was in 2010/11

Desperately disappointing news for jack. Poor lad can't get his career started.

Luckily it's the one area we're well stocked, so Ramsey and cazorla will carry on as normal.

Shame though. He's clearly a talented footballer With a lot to offer. Hopefully it's not as bad an injury as they're reporting.

Wilshere has been fined £40,000 by the fa,didn't Suarez get fined the same amount for racism against evra,obviously to the FA they are both the same type offences

As Jack showed for England he can play a disciplined deep midfield, alongside coquelin. He has the quality and range of passing. Ramsey is great but doesn't posses the passing and discipline of position as Jack. I definitely would not sell Jack this summer. Makele who was the best player in that position had a similar build to Jack so that shouldn't be an issue. Just hope his ankle is fixed properly this time.

I think one of the key differences between Jack and Makélélé is that Makélélé was smarter. As in footballing smarter. Jack nearly always tries to take on that extra man so loses possession too often. His injuries (for me) are not to do with his build so much as he also far too often holds onto the ball that instant too long, inviting the tackle that inevitably puts him out injured for long spells. If Jack hasn't smartened up to those two basic tenets of the midfield role by now, I'm not sure he ever will tbh...

Whilst I think Jack has great potential, I just get the feeling with him that it is only ever going to be that way. Some players just never take that step to the next level, no matter how good they look early on in their career.

Having seen Jack's return, I stand by my comments. He is a talented footballer, no question. But his career is going to be blighted by, and ended prematurely by, injury - all due to his style of play. His touches and surging runs when he came on the other night lifted the game, but almost immediately he charged into a two footer, when he should have released the ball. He's brave and I like that, but he is also his own worst enemy. Sadly.

My bet is he'll be injured again before seasons end.

Are you sure where the blame lies? We all know Jack's all action style can sometimes get him into bother.
Brave as a lion, sometimes less intelligent than one.
With Arteta and Flamini semi fit Lord W will not bring anyone in.

Well, certainly not to the extent that someone gets a leg broken! We tackle in training but it's very much a case of no one leaves the ground or stamps or slides in etc. The worst you pick up is bruises, maybe a cut. You get the odd accidental broken toe, but I've never seen anyone get their leg broken in training!
