WEST HAM HOME THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I feel absolutely the same way. I'm so sick, tired and bored of Arsenal under Wanker.

Talk of winning the league put too much pressure on the pussies and they crumbled as usual. Once the spotlight is off them and they're back challenging for their rightful level of 4th they'll be back to their mediocre best.

ARSENE WENGER PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE JUST FUCK OFF :banghead:

I don't think that's a surprise is it?

We played incredibly poorly and everyone could see that. It was as bad as I can remember as even at 2-0 we didn't appear to have anything about us. The booing was both predictable and deserved.

We were title contenders in as much as Steve Smith was best batsman in the world, except we're not even flat track bullies anymore

There are actually people that think Benzema wouldn't be much of an improvement over Olivier ''fluff half a dozen chances'' Giroud.

The thing is when Giroud is playing well he's very good, when he's not he's fucking abysmal. There's no middle ground with him, thought he was beyond shite today.

I watched the game and enjoyed it (as a neutral).

West Ham looked more up for it and far more organised in defence. You lot have the same issues as us - you are desperate for a centre back and a striker.

It's not all doom & gloom as you'll still get no worse than 3rd place. But, like us (United), Arsenal are a million miles away from title challengers IMO. It's all down to Wenger and his stubborn attitude.

As for Cech, there's a reason why he isn't no.1 at Chelsea anymore. Again, IMO the bloke has never reached the heights that he did in his first few seasons at Chelsea. I think he's a decent keeper but you'd think he's Neur or De Gea the way Souness was w**king over him pre-match.

You play better football than us IMO - we still move the ball far too slowly. (I actually get extremely bored watching Utd) BUT I do think we've finally got some steel in midfield. I don't think Coquelin is ready to be your main defensive midfielder and was surprised Wenger wasn't all in for Schneiderlin who (apparently) really fancied a move to a big London club. He would have looked superb next to Ramsey.

Prior to today's game many of those same fans were predicting a real challenge for the top trophies, so how can they flip that much after one game ? Back in the world of sanity most of us could see the weaknesses in the team and the clueless c.unt on the bench

Exactly the same as Rooney with us. He either looks like a pub player or Pele.

Hello Derek, do you by any chance have a spare plane and banner that can be flown over a football ground?

But according to most on here, he's better than Courtois?
:rubchin:

Surprised that Charity Shield master class last week meant nothing!
Who said that? :rubchin:

I've said that Courtois and De Gea were better, but that he still has class and is equal to Lloris. Who said he's "better than Courtois"?

Quelle surprise. Do I care yes a bit but it's funny more than anything. I said last week why is the media and many fans saying we have improved by one signing in a n already ok position.

Today simply highlights that coq is nowwhere near good enough and neither are giroud or wally as starters for a title aspirated side.

The midfield needs a powerful ball winning driver, not coq and a striker who carrys a persistent goal threat.

Today's lack of drive makes me think dm position is equally in need of big upgrade as striker. and no one can deny as they might in the striker position that there isn't a whole host if better dms than coq attainable.

Thats not to mention wengers past it managerial skills

Same shit new season.
