I don't think that's a surprise is it?

We played incredibly poorly and everyone could see that. It was as bad as I can remember as even at 2-0 we didn't appear to have anything about us. The booing was both predictable and deserved.
Can I just say G88ner, the whole reason I repeatedly disagree with ur whole "the window isn't shut yet" theory, is because irrespective of "waiting", whilst £200m sits idle in the bank, the deficiencies are there for ALL to see. 3 pts already lost and London derby away next....

Just give all those new signings time to gel and we will be fine....lol

Another laughably under prepared and ill equipped squad to head into a new season. I'm sure one mad trolley dash in a couple of weeks and the inevitable top four finish will persuade the windowlickers otherwise though !

PS - thanks for fucking up another holiday Arsene
I think we'll do our business once the champions league qualifiers are finished as he's probably not twigged we're not in it this season. As I've said here before the day I'm looking forward to the most in the future is the day I get the news that he's finally fucked off :banghead:

the playing mantis wrote:Quelle surprise. Do I care yes a bit but it's funny more than anything. I said last week why is the media and many fans saying we have improved by one signing in a n already ok position.

Today simply highlights that coq is nowwhere near good enough and neither are giroud or wally as starters for a title aspirated side.

The midfield needs a powerful ball winning driver, not coq and a striker who carrys a persistent goal threat.

Today's lack of drive makes me think dm position is equally in need of big upgrade as Striker. and no one can deny as they might in the striker position that there isn't a whole host if better dms than coq attainable.

Thats not to mention wengers past it managerial skills

Same shit new season.

And I agreed 100% with you when you said all that 8) Tbh I have been amazed at the *****-a-thon over coquelin in the last 6 months or so - yes he improved the team but that was because he did a job no other c.unt could be arsed to do  However that doesn't automatically make him good enough to be the first choice player a team like ours should have in that position, and we could and should have better imo

Btw g88ner, the world of sanity remark was meant as a tongue in cheek remark - I would be the first to acknowledge that there are times when I am a million miles away from sanity

Anywhere nice Steve o ? I am in Rhodes at the mo and was very much looking forward to strutting about in my Arsenal polo shirt before those c.unts fcuked me over today
Am surprised at the amount of different club jersies being worn out here - so far I have seen brentford, stoke, the scum ( :censored: ), Aberdeen , the chavs ( :censored: ), manure and of course the victims  Whoever said that fans shouldn't wear jersies past the age of 30 obviously haven't told the 70+ year old Norwich fan who is strutting around proudly in their away shirt

I share your pain pal....sitting in a bar in Alanya, Turkey with a load of plastic Scandinavian Mickeys fans actually having to support those *word censored* from Stoke. Happy new season mate ! ☺

Agreed, I want transfers done early too and I've never said otherwise. That's what we ALL want.

But more importantly, I want the best possible players and if that means waiting then so be it. After all, I'd rather Benzema or Lewondowski (just lazy examples!) on August 31st than Jackson Martinez or Benteke in June.

That said, if the window closed yesterday then I'd be furious with what we've done, but it closes on September 1st so I'll put my anger and fury in a box for now :D

On a final note, we didn't lose today because we didn't sign more players! The team today should have been good enough and I wouldn't want to let them off the hook by blaming lack of signings.
- we simply played shite and were under prepared. Even Wenger admitted we were not concentrating at times and were nervous, which is a sad thing to say of professional footballers with aspirations of the title

Wenger ultimately takes the blame for failing to prepare them properly for the game and the players should be ashamed of their performances.

Lack of signings is a separate issue.

There was a terrible sense of inevitability about today's result for me. Amongst my fellow Gooners the predictions ranged from 3-0 to 6-1 and on this occasion yet again the team showed the same attitude as they did against Monaco when our supposed superior class would win the day and our mediocre opponents would be swatted into oblivion. There will be many more days like this

Yes, it reminded me of Monaco too. It's unbelievable that after so many years of failure, we still get caught like this. :?

Wenger said it was an "accident" but it keeps happening and my guess it will continue to do so until Wenger leaves.

Christ alive, you don't half post some bollocks.
Unfortunately for you I am currently proven right as we are currently BOTTOM of the table and they have given no evidence to me that they will get top half

Here’s the thing, Einstein: you said we would “finish lowest London club” and the season is a grand total of one game old.

Perhaps come back at the end of the season if we do indeed finish below all other London clubs before crowing. The fact that you don't think we'll get top-half, when Wonger hasn't ever finished outside the top-four, indicates that you are either desperately trolling, or a total fuckwit.

As much as I doubt our chances of ever challenging for serious honours under Wenker, to suggest we won't even finish in the top half is kneejerk beyond belief. Once we're officially out of the title race and the pressure is off we'll go on one of our "what if" runs and finish fourth. Have you not been following our last ten groundhog seasons?
