As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

we went into the season out the title race when wenger decided yet again to go into the season.

I would be very surprised if we won TBH,
Can only hope that AW looses it with Pardew again and gets sacked

Pardew is one of my most hated managers in world football, but I would accept an absolute thrashing if it get shot of the senile French c.unt Sunday evening
Realistically I think the best we can hope for here is a draw - this was always going to be a tough fixture for us, but with them winning and us losing at the weekend, this game isn't looking like an ideal next fixture for us
There is no sequence of results that would see wanker out the door. We could lose 9 in a row, and if we won the 10th game then that would be enough for the window lickers. Go back to 2011, and even after the 8-2 debacle, and the 4-3 humiliation to Blackburn, wanker was still untouchable.
Manager that hates Wenger, crowd and side that will be up for it because of the local derby and their performance on the first day, dynamic forwards with a strong midfield and pretty decent defense. Wenger will insist on playing multiple players out of position and it just won't work.
The old clueless one is the luckiest manager in all footie, so expect us to pull off the scruffiest of wins against a bit too confident Palace team being coached by Pardew, who has always been sort of Wenger's bitch.
i think i have actually reached the point where i want us to lose - the more Wenger can be exposed as a fraud the better
we are in our annual race for the top 4 but what does getting there actually achieve??
we have bought a reserve goalie whilst there is £200 million stashed in the bank.
totally and utterly pointless being in the Champions League with the attitude at the club

Although I cant bring myself to want us to lose, I must admit im far more indifferent to any defeats we suffer, as I accepted long ago that the league is pointless with Wenger in charge, as the man isn't capable of winning it again. Apart from Wenger's obvious failings tactically, its his attitude of just doing enough that pisses me off. We have an average(at best) striker up front, yet Wenger insults our intelligence by saying that Benzema wouldn't be an improvement on Giroud. Its not too hard to spot what is going on at the club, every move is made with finishing in the top 4 in mind, and the club are never going to go that extra mile in order to challenge for the title. I despise Mourinho, but last summer he needed a playmaker, and a striker in order to win the league, and so Fabregas, and Costa were signed, in contrast Wenger always neglects at least one area of the team that needs improvement.
Even though I think we'll get beat I won't admit it until Saturday - that way I won't feel too bad for the next few days !!
Maybe our magic duo of 'The Boy Wonder' & 'The Lazy Frenchman' will scare the shit out of them & grab the points for us. Fourth place here we come.

what pub do people head to for palace? is william stanley one of them @ norwood junction?
The ones off Norwood Junction or Thornton Heath are always rammed. Went to the Weatherspoons right next to Balham station last year and it was perfectly fine, good number of Arsenal about.
It has a beer garden which should be open but wasn't last year due to the match being in February.
