Does anyone really believe Benzema is coming.
Wenger's fucked us with those new contract and made the same mistakes as he did with the golden generation of Denilson, almunia, etc...

Have to agree with that. It's not the wages themselves that bother me, it's the fact that it looks very difficult for Wenger to sign a striker that then demotes Giroud and Theo to the bench having invested so much in them :?

Then you have Wellbeck; a £17m signing from last summer.

We look well stocked with mediocrity. Useful players, but perhaps too many without the x factor.

Also, Theo talks about wanting to be a striker. I worry he only signed an extension after being assured he'd finally get his chance and that no superstar striker would be signed. :? - come to think of it, having written those words, I'm seriously concerned that's true  :(
You know what, scrap that, we're signing a striker. It'd be insane not to :barscarf:

Just classic cases of Wenger protecting his favourites. Giroud is like Wengers pet project.

Our wage bill relative to our squad strength is - as it has been for years and years - completely out of kilter.

Yet the man has all the mobility of a granite monolith. In fact bar Sanchez, ox and Wally, we have a total (and worrying) lack of pace throughout our team. I exclude Welbeck as I find him worse than useless.

Sit deep, pick us off and hit us on the break; and yet Wenger can’t seem to see it, or he refuses to acknowledge it.

This whole football transfer, media driven speculation is just a load of horse shit. How many players have we been linked with over the course of the window? Dozens and dozens. How many have we signed? ONE!! It's just a constant endless cycle of lies and made up bullshit to generate hits on websites, newspaper sales or an excuse to give some multi time failure of a journeyman manager something to talk about in the SSN studio while desperately trying to avoid staring at the tits of whatever dolly bird happens to be presenting on the day.

Cant wait for the window to shut so we can finally put an end to it. Although you can be sure the Daily Mirror will be running an exclusive about how we're gonna sign Messi & Ronaldo in January a week after it closes

what I still can't quite believe is how the majority of our fanbase were seemingly quite content to start the season with the addition of just 1 ageing reserve goalie, and how this would somehow transform us into title contenders

I also couldnt understand why by winning the FA Cup this automatically makes us title contenders :rubchin:
by this same logic surely by reaching the cup final this makes Villa top 4 candidates

yet again there has been this con trick performed magnificently by Wenger and his cronies.
I reiterate it again - THE AMBITION OF THE CLUB IS TO BE A TOP 4 CLUB AND NOTHING ELSE. To achieve that this year we only needed to add Cech and Wenger knew this. He has saved the club millions yet again and I am sure Kroenke will reward him for his efforts.

Well in fairness at least we are producing hot air, that in its self is something, The club are producing absolutely nothing and the silence from them is deafening!! Oh for someone...anyone with access to a press conference to call him on his bullshit, i genuinely feel its the protection afforded to him by the press that keeps him in a job, if only the press got the knives out....he would be gone!

the trouble is as soon as we go on a little run of wins (when the pressure is off) then opposition towards Wenger fades away.
the protests at Stoke did get to him but they were not followed up because we went on our annual "pressure free" winning run.

Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!

I can't believe that Stoke has signed Shaqiri for 12M while Wanker is going to waste 50M on a has-been top striker. Simply can't believe it.

Just saw him in the Supercup. Might be a good Backup but I don't expect him to strenghten the Squad.

Why pay 22M? Would have preferred Khedira (for free) instead.

However, there's still some hope left....
