Good result, and couple of great performances. Cech was solid all game. And Giroud scored a great goal as well. :barscarf:

Only managed to see the MOTD highlights which seemed to suggest a very different game to whats been written on here, had masses of chances and a more alert Alexis would have got a couple.

Shearers comment on frailty was spot on.

You would have thought Shearer would have gotten over his 2 Cup final defeats from us by now but it's obvious he hasn't as he sticks the boot in at any opportunity possible !
Coquelin is like any other DM once he's booked he is a ticking time bomb, thought Arteta did well but I would have swapped Coq for him and not waited until later as we looked unbalanced again at a time they were starting to come !

Got to laugh at how many people said 2-1 to us.

It's like we know already how the season pans out. Weird.  :barscarf:

Only got 2 out of the Wenger interview bingo so either I'm not trying hard enough or Wenger's mixing it up a bit.

Nearly got my 0-2 / Giroud first goal bet to pay off! :banghead:

We did ok. We struggled at times, we outclassed them at other times.

Ozil was by a long shot the best player on the pitch.

Giroud's goal was brilliant but he huffed and puffed through most of it.

Ramsey is now absolute shite. He seemed to lose possession with every touch, always picking the difficult option, trying tricks and flicks when a simple pass and move was on. He is back to his worst. How can a player be shit one season, be one of the best in the PL the next and then back to absolute shite the following season?

Santi did well but wasn't MOTM for me - should have been Ozil.

Kos was disgraceful for their goal. How can a grown man, an adult, a professional footballer, turn his back on a ground level ball??!! WTF??!!  :x

Coquelin was a red card waiting to happen and a pissyer referee would have sent him off on the tallying up process alone. Also, has he been watching Stevie Me videos? Where did this sudden urge to constantly fire off 50 and 60 yards cross field lobs come from?

Arteta's legs may be gone but he did a great job when he came on. Nothing fancy, just sensible.

Lastly - where did this media wankathon about the "immense" atmosphere at Selhurst Park come from? A constant droning of the same 2 or 3 songs no matter what is happening on the pitch? A drum? Fuck off. It sounded like the monotonous shite you used to hear at Italian club grounds in the 1980's which gave the impression the fans weren't actually watching the game. Also, what kind of sad virgin no-mates in their 20's and 30's wear t-shirts with "Ultras" written on them? Oh dear God - I'm fucking embarrassed for them.

And seriously, anyone that thinks the Shammers, the scum and this Palace side will finish ahead of us has definitely had some form of head trauma!

Right on DB. I've said Ramsey needs to be dropped from the team. Wally or Ox need to play in his place. And when Wilshire comes back he should play ahead of him as well.

Couldn't agree more. Palace are a myth of a club (even though I think they'll do quite well this year).

That monotonous repetitive drone of ''CeeeeeePeeeeeEffffffffffCeeeeeeeee'' is not an atmosphere. Also, I wish they would take that ''That's the way we like it, we like it, we like it WOAAAAAAAHHHHHHH WOAAAAHHHHHH'' piece of shite back down to the Championship.

I like that chant

I seem to remember it being pushed on here a few years back as it was used by River Plate or Boca Juniors and sounded awesome 8) - of course, it never caught on at Arsenal as it didn't mention how much we hate Totnumb
