The problem is that it would take perhaps 3 signings of the sufficient character, spirit and mental strength (bingo :barscarf: ) to win the league on their own regardless of what Mr. Knows is up to. Otherwise,we are going to be shown up again as has happened time and time again. Groundhog, mate 8) :(
That's one of the reasons I'm concerned; the longer this goes on, the chances of signing more than 1 (or zero :( ) decreases.

I can understand the struggle in bringing in a top class striker, but it's not like the rest of our team can't be improved, so whatever way you spin it, you have to upgrade where you can even if it's not in areas you'd targeted as a main priority.

And lets be honest; we're filthy rich at the moment and if you're not going to spend it, reduce the fucking ticket prices.

I'm with you G88ner, i honestly believed back in July that we'd make at least one more signing after Cech, not necessarily something we'd need but some sort of marquee signing to keep the fans happy.

Now i'm seriously doubting we will, as someone said earlier if we win tonight, no more signings, if we lose a mad trolley dash to buy whatever we can get our hands on to keep the hounds from the door.

What makes it worse is if we lose tonight he'll be scrambling around and prices will go up and up as soon as clubs hear Arsenal are desperate to sign.

That's another reason i emphasised a while back we really need to do our main business early in the window.

If we do win tonight though i seriously wonder what the current team is really capable of because i'm not convinced we are good enough to be certain of 4th, we should be but i'm just not convinced of it.

Looking a shaky team already, we have made one good addition and should kick on from last year - We haven't and I doubt if we will.

Failure to score against the Barcodes and we'll need 2 trolleys, 2 baskets and Dale Winton on speed.

Nice, St Etienne, Lille and Auxerre - CAN YOU HEAR ME??? We're coming to make you rich beyond your wildest dreams

We're more likely to see Santa coming in August than we are any new players

The only thing I'm looking forward to on deadline day is counting the fingers of the Stoke fans outside their Shitole and listening to Rodders tales of lubing himself up for Natalie Sawyer

We haven't even got Arry hanging out of the Land Rover to amuse us

I'm so depressed I'm thinking of keeping it in my pants this year.

61 attempts on goal in the 3 matches, the highest in the league - resulting in 2 goals, one an og.

Instead of counting out the seconds it took for Mignolet to kick out the ball last night the home fans would be a lot better off calling for the head of the charlatan in charge.

The fact that he sent Akpom out on loan made me think he would bring a striker in.....not top top quality of course but maybe a cheap Frenchie signing but it actually looks like he has no intention whatsoever of signing anyone.

He does get a bonus for financial performance, there is no doubt about that and I honestly believe that Wonga is a genuinely greedy man (personal fortune I mean).

You know, mad bastard that I am, I think he will sign someone.

The problem is, I think it will be someone we don't fucking need. :banghead:  :|

Arsene doesn't like to be told what the team needs. People saying we need a DM, CH and striker? We ain't getting one! :suicide:

We will sign a 17 year old 5'8" attacking midfielder. From France. :|

How many fucking times has Giroud fluffed absolute sitters and cost us points?

Forget how many points Cech will supposedly win us this year, stick a quality striker there instead of Giroud and that is 10 points right there.

For all the dallying about 4th-choice CBs and second-choice full-backs, sign a quality striker and those peripheral requirements fade away. Liverpool 2014 case in point - an absolute cack side that should have won the league because of one amazing striker and one good one on great form.

Thank fuck we don't need a striker. He is fucking useless.
