Back to my favourite topic: Olivier Giroud has just 1 PL goal in over 740 minutes
Yet he was given a mammoth payrise to £130k this summer.

Arsenal have failed to score in 5 of their last 6 PL
games at home.

It's ok though guys, cos Arseholio will go on another outstanding second half of the season Virtual Win Streak where he'll win the "half season" PL trophy. Then next summer, everyone will claim that "we have improved" through virtue of having signed a new Mascot (but no outfield players)

I don't think it's that. We just approach home games all wrong.

Teams sit back and deny us space, which sadly is all it takes against us as we play so ridiculously narrow and so much tippy tappy football. How many times tonight did we get to the edge of their box and then grind to a halt, pass backwards or sideways?

We also don't defend as a team at home; instead thinking we can overrun teams. Sadly, that exposes us in defence like tonight, and against West Ham and Monaco.

We suit away games better as we can hit teams on the break more and the fact we concentrate more means we don't lose our shape as easily.
Surely we pay the man who has worked in football for 30 years £8m per annum to work out how to set us up differently depending on the opposition and venue?

Nope, 4-5-1 to death. Who cares if its Bayern or Barnsley.....

I suggested earlier today that ramsey should be dropped but he was a million times better than sanchez and I cant understand the clamour to sub ramsey :?

For me we have two players who come out of this game with any credit and they are cech and monreal - the likes of ozil, cazorla and coquelin provided a mixture of good and bad, but giroud and sanchez were utter dogshite  At the moment if we offered sanchez 99 right options and 1 bad option, he would take the bad option every single time :banghead: I know some will argue that he is still knackered after the copa America, but tbh when he is on the pitch he should be offering more than that  Even last season his link play was poor (mostly cos of a suspect first touch and poor passing) but his game is based on running onto through balls like he would if he was playing up front in a 4-4-2 system and this system will erode every natural instinct the guy has

Thats why i couldnt be bothered to go tonight. This early on that is so wrong. My No confidence in Wenger and his crap tactics continues .
Yep, bored of the last 10 years to be honest. It used to be a pleasure watching us play, now it's just a frustrating pain in the neck.

Brendan Rodgers on Ramsey disallowed goal: 'I have seen a replay, his shirt looks offside ... great decision by the linesman'

And I thought our genius was deluded.

What I remember from the pre-game press conference, is that Wenger said he wanted us to attack Liverpool with pace, and that we would need pace to beat them. Yet again we started with Ramsey out wide instead of a natural wide player with pace and strength like Chamberlain, who did come on for the last ten, and also the first half performance was hardly attacking with pace.

Then you have a static Giroud instead of Walcott who could have stretched their defence, if pace was Wenger's gameplan he certainly didn't start with the right personnel.

I really rate Sanchez but you're spot on in terms of his link play. Ignore Arseholio claiming he's as good as Suarez (LOL), the reason Barca couldn't get rid quick enough is because he can't do quick link-up play as he wants too many touches and he's erratic. If you are trying to use the "system" Le Tool is using, a shite version of Barca tip-tap, then every player needs a sublime first touch. Sanchez kills any momentum in build-up play - what he should be used for, is a counterattacking system where it's springing the oppo with pave, and he has space ahead of him. The football needs to be direct to make max use of him. Barca turfed him out and their link play is in a different planet with Suarez, as Suarez will always find you with a pass or clever touches. Sanchez just doesn't have that in his game - good a player he may be.

you're the manager....

There's 20 mins to go and Liverpool are camped on their own 18 yard box and suffocating play. You look to your bench and see Theo and Chamberlain. Do you:

a) take off the target man leaving you no one to cross balls to and replace him with Theo even though he's 2 foot tall and only good when he has space to run into?

b) Put on Chamberlain and tell him to stay wide and get crosses in for Giroud whilst moving Ramsey central with an aim of getting in the box?

c) Put Chamberlain wide and put Theo up front WITH Giroud? lets get some balls into dangerous areas and make something happen!

Answer: anything but A! :cussing:

 Oh fucking blah blah blah.

Which is, I believe 1 more than the nation's darling, Wayne Rooney, in over 800 minutes? Love the way your pitiful "insight" has changed from "Giroud hasn't scored in over 534 mins" to "Giroud hasn't scored in over 534 mins in the PL (cuz I didn't want to mention the FA Cup goal cuz that fucked my rant)" to now it's "Giroud has just 1 PL goal in over 740 minutes".

But what does that prove? He is in a drought. If you had ANY understanding of the game you'd know strikers have good form and bad form. All of them go through goal droughts at some point. Wrighty had droughts, as did Smudge and Henry. Giroud is not being helped by the utter shit that is being served to him from our midfield either. Someone above mentioned it and they are bang right; your hero Karim Giroudzema would do no better in this fucked up system and with the utter gash our midfield is providing. Giroud certainly is not good enough to be the first choice lone striker at a club that wants to win the title, we fucking get it, and the majority on here have said that, but there are not many in world football that could play that role and lead a team to the PL and fewer still that could do it with shit service.

I have to be honest, I'm so fucking bored reading the same shite out of you day after day. You tried to imply on here before that you write for a living? My fucking hairy hole you do, unless it's at a minor tabloid, such is the one dimensional level of the shite you post. Fuck off and post something informed or at least non-repetitive will you?

Now, for the rest of us; I thought Ramsey was very poor again. But he was one of many. I hope that I never see Calamity Chambers in an Arsenal jersey ever again as long as I live. Whatever inkling of talent was there is long gone. He was worse tonight than Cygan and the Horse at their worst. Fucking appalling. :|

To all the idiots (hi again Itchybabaspurs! ) that thought Cech was now suddenly total shit after one game ( ) please re-watch the 2 world class saves he pulled off tonight to earn us a point.

Nope.

Mouthpiece on 5Live said, and I paraphrase: "Wenger is happy with his squad" and he added he didn't think we'd do any other business.

It's probably bollocks, and someone will join deadline-style, but slightly concerning.
