Re: THE WENGER THREAD
The thing is there will not be a big enough demise in the eyes of the modern, Be All and End All Champions League fan for the anger to be anything other than temporary until normal top 4 service resumes.Redarmy wrote:Now I'm really depressednut flush gooner wrote:Hate to piss on your parade, but most Arsenal fans that go anywhere near the emirates are mostly in favour of Wenger.Redarmy wrote:Don't believe it........Don't under estimate the power of the fans, even in this day and age....the issue being getting enough to turn and see the light
I would say the 0-2 Liverpool, 8-2 Man Ure start to the 2011/12 season was just about as bad a start as could be had and our inactivity in the transfer market was there for all to see. The signings of BFG and Arteta and a march to 4th was enough to forgive that sorry episode in the eyes of the masses.
Roll forward to a 1-3 home defeat against Villa on the opening day of 2013/14 and no major new signings - some booing after that match, and instant forgiveness with the signing of one big name player in a position we didn't need and subsequent march to 4th
Last season's latest defeat at Stoke confirmed our worst start since 1982 but one centre half signed in the January window and a march to 3rd and once more all is forgiven
This man has seen enough enough ripples of discontent from The Stoke Three and the Banner Boys that Paddy Barclay and John Cross have dismissed as not being real fans of the club, and enough agree with them and will blast out TO1AW when we're swatting Zagreb 5-0 at home in the CL
I can't believe anyone honestly thinks that this latest underwhelming transfer window is anything other than the latest little ripple of displeasure to be expressed by what remains the minority of Gooners

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Even if we had signed Cavani Wenger would have put him on the left wing to accomodate Giroud.
The most important transfer I think most desire is Wenger out of the club.

8th Richest club in football and one of only nine with a turnover greater than £300M, and he is only able to sign an out of favour goalkeeper (good as Cech is).
Impressive even by his standards

Send in the clowns
For every disgruntled gooner on here there's 10,000 piss lickers to take your place at the bowl, spreading their arse cheeks wide so Arsene, Ivan and Stan can bugger them into a permanent state of mediocrity. We get what we deserve and we're a fucking shambles of a support.

And there is the problem, I genuinely believe there was an opportunity lost to compete , not win, but compete for the title. CHANCE LOST AND WON'T BE FOUND ANYTIME SOON.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
The only hope i have for Arsenal is Wenger not signing a new contract and this will truly be his last.
Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Even if we win nothing these next two seasons, it will matter little, as long as we are finishing 4th and the masses are satisfied with our mediocrity, then Wenger will have no reason not to sign a new contract . As bad as it sounds, there is a possibility that we are going to be putting up with this fucker for another 10 years +.defleppardisking wrote:The only hope i have for Arsenal is Wenger not signing a new contract and this will truly be his last.

They just read out a text on Radio 5 Live saying that there was/is a protest outside the bowl tonight. Anyone know anything about it?
