The Orcs at home

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Me too - I've got my Georgia scarf ready for next weekend.....if they can stick one on the Jocks and the Oirish, while Ing-er-lund cruise through to the Euros it will be as good as this weekend's results

What, like the one that left Debuchy out for three months? Or perhaps you mean like the one where Ramsey had his leg destroyed?
yeah, I don't quite get that comment by swifty either. never would I complain about a hard challenge, unless the tackle was intentionally designed to "rough us up". It always seems like stoke are allowed to kick us and blatantly foul us and we just have to take it- and if we kick up a fuss about the cynical tactics then it's because we're "too soft". it's like a football cliche here where stoke are always allowed a couple of free ones when playing Arsenal, because "we don't like it up us". it's shite football, and one of the reasons they never take points of us at the bowl.

We should win this although our lack of goals worries me as they aren't good enough to score an OG for us.

A bit worried for Coquelin too as I can see him getting kicked all over the park even worse than against the barcodes and will end up badly injured or sent off

this will either be a painfully boring 0-0 or we get an early goal and end up winning 3-0 with everyone proclaiming us as champions elect

Who will start I wonder- just cant see Wally starting, and if Ox isnt in the starting line up I will be pretty upset

For me

Cech
Bellerin Kos Gabriel Monreal
Cazorla Wilshere Coq Ox
Ozil
Giroud

Even if we had Cavani I would still have considered Giroud to start V Orcs, he is strong, rolls about beautifully in hard tackles and can produce the sort of taps ons we will need against their tight organised defence.

Wilshere is similarly likely to stir it up when fouled and will get a few free kicks

I would rest Alexis, firstly he is still "short" and secondly you dont put your Rolls Royce on in a Demolition Derby. Ozil is in because when it comes to crashes he avoids them ( )

Despite Gibbs celebrations at getting into the England squad (How desperate is that  ) this is not the sort of game his glass pumps should be exposed to

It could get really toxic if we don't win this - the silent walk for the exits might start 3 minutes earlier than normal, there'll be a ripple of booing from the 10,000 or so left in the ground and sales of the new 3rd kit will be 10% less than expected for a normal matchday.

That'll show you Stan.....

We will win it though. But we'll lose up there, bet your salary on it.That's why I prefer playing them away in the first half of the season, get the humiliating beating and the subsequent walk of shame out of the way early. Everybody, besides City, look pretty shite so far anyway, so Wenger has obviously guaranteed Stan that 4th is guaranteed without the need to spend any money. The ungrateful fans will whine for a bit but fcuk them I still have the "In Wenger we trust brigade"..

Judge me in Stoke and not in May.

Got to say i hope we get a strong ref for this one as from previous experience our lads will need protection.

Last thing we need is anyone getting injured with the team in my opinion a 'tad' more threadbare than usual this season
