Barcodes away.

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Steve McClaren stood there like the gormless prick he is whilst his players continued to dive into stupid tackles that the referee had made clear that he was going to be handing out yellows for. They were all so needless - hardly like their players were getting skinned all ends up or making fouls to stop dangerous attacks. They were diving into bad tackles in nothing areas.

If referees officiated games properly then this would happen every week where teams racked up yellow cards. Look at each card and it was the correct decision. In fact they were lucky not to have a few more.

At least the Geordies had something else to whinge about other than their own players.

Who is Hayley Wright, and what does this mean?

If Coquelins boot was planted firmly in the ground when that Serb assaulted him that leg would have broken
Hayley Wright is the grand daughter of Billy Wright, I presume you know who he is.
She does a video blog after every game.
The point was the Newcastle fans were getting hysterical every time a card was shown, red or yellow.
How can they seriously argue against them unless they thought the game was 'prison rules', a free-for-all.
Yeah Billy Wright played for Wolves been told was a great player and gentleman, and of course Arsenal manager...

Not sure about the Hayley Wright bit though, and why that would give her any more credence....but there you go........

Ah, OK....as for your point absolutely agree

McLaren going on about working class northerners expect to see there team play like that, not exactly sure thats true, they have had some great players and teams up there, which to my knowledge did not resort to tactics like that

Aye, pet.

And coal, Broon Ale, the Baltic, Bigg Market and Alan Shearer. I think he's trying ever-so-hard to ingratiate himself with the locals.

Newcastles leaving the foot in on the ankle and targeting of Coquelin reminded me of Scholes n co of Manchester back in the late 90's early 2000's when they would go for Berkamp amongst others .
Wonder where McLaren got the idea from then ? ah yes he was the assistant to Red Nose at the time !

It's okay though because Scholes "can't tackle" which apparently excused the reckless tackles which regularly littered his career.
