No new transfers then reduce our season tickets costs
No new transfers then reduce our season tickets costs
If we are not going buy in the transfer market then use the money to reduce the cost of our season tickets by 50% (£30 million).

that will only happen if season ticket holders don't renew their tickets.rnight wrote:If we are not going buy in the transfer market then use the money to reduce the cost of our season tickets by 50% (£30 million).
football supporters ultimately set ticketing levels.
I have said on various threads that the Arsenal season ticket holders are Wenger's greatest supporters and have kept him in a job this long.
I also understand that the Arsenal season ticket holders are the clubs' best supporters and appreciate that you don't want to give up going. It is just that you have to consider that if you keep buying season tickets then nothing will change.
my message to all season ticket holders is to dont renew your tickets - then the Arsenal business model collapses (this is not the same as saying don't attend matches. You can still do that, just don't pay so much in advance.

I take your point above I'm just trying to get the idea out there. If the idea can gather momentum and become popular with members then maybe with a bit of pressure something can happen. If my season ticket can be reduced when we don't spend then great.Gunner Rob wrote:that will only happen if season ticket holders don't renew their tickets.rnight wrote:If we are not going buy in the transfer market then use the money to reduce the cost of our season tickets by 50% (£30 million).

They will put the price up again quicker than they reduce it.
Re: No new transfers then reduce our season tickets costs
Personally I dont believe that it is realistic that we could get fans to even delay renewing much less refuse to renew and this would have to be an "everyone or no-one" protest
I still believe that a simple way of organising a protest in a very public way is to pick a match that is being televised and either (a) organise for thousands to leave their seats empty for the first 15 minutes or (b) organise to get the whole ground to turn their backs to the pitch on the 15th minute and start chanting against the board about the general mis-management of our club (inc ticket prices and non investment)
For maximum effect this should be done for a game on sky or bt

Lads, I think you just have to accept that the vast majority of our fans are passive. They will not protest.

I know this has been said a billion times, but was the move to the new stadium not done in order to allow us to compete for the very best talent.DB10GOONER wrote:Lads, I think you just have to accept that the vast majority of our fans are passive. They will not protest.

Re: No new transfers then reduce our season tickets costs
Do not call them fans. They are not fans. The majority of those nutters are members of the cult of Wenger. How else do you explain how our Specialist in Failure gets away with it year after year? Those nutters keep Wenger in a job.If you bought a car from a showroom and it broke down within 6 months every year would you go back to buy another one for 10 years running.Thats like the nutters with their season tickets.Make no mistake when their leader goes in 20 years time the nutters will all commit suicide on the pitchDB10GOONER wrote:Lads, I think you just have to accept that the vast majority of our fans are passive. Yeah Wiggy needs a new syrup and his missus needs some new (fake) tits.
Re: No new transfers then reduce our season tickets costs
There are many of us "nutters" that have season tickets because we support Arsenal .
Just because we don't like the board and the manager is not in itself enough reason to stop going ,some of us are addicted we cant stop !
All things will pass and eventually so will the Lord Wenger .
I don't think that making a banner or abusing Mons Wenger on Stoke station will make a difference so I choose not too.
In the past I would take class A drugs in order to protect my psyche from the banalty of modern football now Ive just lowered my expectations and thats working OK for me.

Re: No new transfers then reduce our season tickets costs
This forum is a sort of Arsenal anonymous for some.
Just one more... dont do it mate... OK just a quick look at the next game...
Thats what AFC rely on of course.
They must have the best ad and PR team the world has ever seen
What I dont honestly get is renting season tickets out- if you cant commit to the season hand it in, dont renew. Theres plenty of tickets available on The exchange or swaps etc. I suspect that why no card has a picture on, a sizable number wouldnt tally. Getting a season ticket so you can get the an FA Cup final seems a bit daft- its much more cost effective to go to matches you fancy, and pay a tout or a travel company. The season ticket saves the cost of a game or two no more. Its like most of AFC plc a rip off.
Drop in season ticket sales is the only way to hit them where it hurts.
I do understand how hard it can be to pass away a ticket thats been yours for years, and the crafty fu**ers that is AFC even have the best loyalty card that money can buy with the away credits. Feck em and but give it a try, dont renew
