The 2015 Transfer Rumours Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Meh.

We don't need him; Walcott, Giroud and, of course, Welbeck will fire us to the title this year.

I will freely admit I have been thinking along those lines myself. He has never really been given a chance under Wenger so now he may have been forced into the utter mess Wenger created.

Not what any of us wanted but he is a player who has shown some promise so he might as well get a chance now. Who else is there!?!

When your arse is backed right up against the wall you're not left with many options. What about rolling the dice and trying to turn Alexis into a Suarez lite? They pretty much have the same build and stature, should we try him as an out and out striker like the victims had with Suarez when they were a whisker away from the league until the slippy G incident?

I think the team would actually be better balanced with Alexis up top and either Theo/Ox on the right. This coming from a fucker who hasn't worked a day in the game by the way so feel free to ridicule

Been thinking this for a while! He plays up top for Chile and seems to do alright there. He's fast, strong, movement would be a nightmare to track and clinical. He's actually really efficient in the air too! Look at the size of Aguero, no different. With that as well our pace would be a joke and we may actually use our £42.5 million ex Galactico playmaker to his abilities and see the best of him instead of him having to play like sludge through Oli all the time aye!

The only criticism I have had with sanchez since he signed, is that sometimes his first touch and link up play is woeful and there is no way in the world that he can play that position unless he improved significantly in both aspects

Just imagine if you had posted the same comment last December about Coquelin.
Unfortunately, lightning rarely strikes twice.

Mouth-watering prospect of Zlatan and Kalou up front with Joe Cole playing off them !

Giroud booed by France fans
Olivier Giroud missed two good chances before being replaced by Karim Benzema

Our star striker in fine form as always :barscarf:

On a brighter note our only other striker was terrorosing the San Marino defenders, Stoke must be dreading Saturday.

Far be it from me to side with Giroud but they also booed Sagna too (just after his comeback following his brother's death) along with a truckload of other players who probably didn't really deserve it.

NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA THIRD PLACE :barscarf:
