If they hadn't sacked Sherwood he would be banging in 35 goals a season.

Very true. No doubt Sherwood will be telling us all about it soon enough :suicide:

AT Great piece. What's funny is the outrage and disbelief from certain fans - where have these muppets been the last 10 years? Now we find out he lied about Welbeck, knowing about his injury comeback and then only revealing the full truth after the window shut. He did this a few years ago with Vermaelen and his achilles, claiming he "would be back soon"... only admitting he needed surgery once the window had shut.

He's lied to fans so many times it's untrue. Example, claiming he'd suffered in the CL by "prioritising the FA Cup". Ignoring the fact that Arsenal regularly fielded rubbish teams that were humbled by Stoke and Blackburn etc. or how about the blatant lie when he promised "100%" that TV would be replaced if sold?

Or how about claiming Podolski was not bought as an RVP replacement when he knew all along a deal had been already struck with Fergie? How about his promise he wouldn't sell Nasri and Cesc in the same summer then selling both within weeks of each other?

The guy is a bona fide bullshit merchant, thoroughly dishonest and a greedy self-serving arsehole to boot.

What forever makes me laugh about our moronic Wengerite fanbase, is that Lord A-hole has made it abundantly clear he has nothing but contempt for the fans! Last year on deadline day, he buggered off to Rome. This year, he jaunts off to Paris.

This lack of respect is nothing new. See the way he talked to Jacqui Oatley of the BBC, an absolute disgrace. See the "haven't worked half a day in football" comment he aimed at fans. See the piss-taking abuse of club funds giving Diaby contract after mega-contract (incidentally Marseille have just cut him from their Europa League squad. Never mind, AW made him a very rich boy already!)

Wenger has no interest in finishing first and hasn't done for years. He urges Mourinho to show him respect but fails to see what a royal hypocrite he is, forever sticking his oar in where it doesn't concern him: commenting on ManYoo transfers, commenting on PSG, commenting on Citeh etc.

At the same time he moans about "no value" in the football market, this dickhead has been collecting £8m every year he speeds past "Go", for achieving sod-all. Doesn't seem to mind the lack of value the fans get from his ridiculous wages eh? How about his defending of ticket prices? Value doesn't seem to be an issue in that scenario does it?

Wenger is in bed with Kroenke. He always has been and this has been abundantly clear to anyone with half a brain. For years the AKB claimed "Kroenke is withholding funds" despite clear evidence the wage bill was enormous and getting bigger each year. Years of failure were dressed up as being "the board's fault" even though Wenger was getting his arse handed to him in the CL by PSV, Valencia, Deportivo... much poorer teams. The problem for the AKB now is that, with those huge financial commercial deals, the property developments, the huge TV deal, allied to Arsenal's match day revenue AND CL TV cash, they've now run out of excuses.

Whereas before Wenger's excuse was he couldn't compete money-wise, the excuse has changed to "I've got loads of money but there's no players". LOL!

How did treble-winning Barca find new players? If the highly paid scouts genuinely can't find better than rubbish like Giroud and Walcott, then sack the lot of them, as I've seen better players in The Championship. The minute Wenger gave Giroud £130k a week (!) and Wally £140k you just knew that was it, nobody was coming.

Difficult times at AKB excuses Central HQ as there's literally no defence left. Zero.

What's funny is that Wenger has been taking the piss out of Arsenal FC for years, using it as his own personal ego fiefdom. Project youth, then the massive wages to garbage like Eboue and Almunia, then the obsession with becoming Barca-lite, then Yaya Sanogo, and now his latest joke: signing nobody at all!

His arrogance knows no bounds and Gary Neville was spot on. Problem always was, after Jose very intentionally baited him by mentioning how much Wenger spends - a deliberate ploy made to force the imbecile Wenger into proving a point by spending nothing - he was always going to try and prove a point. Sadly, it's the same point he's been failing to prove these past 11 years by failing to compete for the PL. All of a sudden, the FA Cup, a competition Wenger devalued by claiming 4th place was a bigger achievement... became the equivalent of the World Cup. Funny that!

Arsenal fans absolutely deserve this charlatan. He's Kroenke's right hand man. In an era where EVERY manager is desperate to have funds to strengthen, he's the only one who wants to spend nothing. Any other club would definitely sack him for such inaction once he fails in the league... but AFC will almost certainly reward him. Isn't that weird to some?

George Graham was accused of taking bungs but what does Wenger stand to gain financially by continually fleecing and lying to the fans? Are his bonuses linked to making savings in the market?

How is it possible that Arsenal, with over £200m in the bank, failed to sign a single outfield player, having finished 12 puts behind the Champs and having been humiliated in Europe by a tinpot club?

No other club would accept this and their fans would go mental. But this is AFC, home of English football's softest, most unambitious and passive fans. Happy with advanced mediocrity, but have something to say shot every other club. But here's the thing: this "self sustaining" model is a con.

Ivan Gazidis is a clown and an incompetent joke. A CEO who has never ever criticised a clearly sub-standard manager. Kroenke screws the fans and then takes our "strategic consultancy fees" - for what? Humiliation by Monaco? Or another failed season?

Wenger did sod-all in the transfer market but it'll be interesting to see if there's money to go into Kroenke pockets - I suspect we all know the answer to that one eh!

It is obvious what's going on at Arsenal and it's rotten, but more rotten than that is the idiot populace that sits back, continues to hand over £1k a season to have the piss taken out of them and then claims "what can we do?"

It's THAT very apathetic, spineless attitude of the fans that is a reflection of the team. Brittle, mediocre entities like Giroud and Wally are worshipped. Says it all really.

Arsenal fans like to take the moral high ground about "doing things the right way" and take vicarious pride in the balance sheet trophy (like they get anything out of it). Here's the thing see: Arsenal fans can pipe up all they want about "oil money" but from what I can see, Sheikh Mansour, Roubles Roman and Qatar all care about winning and making their fans happy. Underperformance is dealt with, aspiration is always key and winning trumps all.

Stan Kroenke is a billionaire too. Arsenal are loaded. Yet, as their idiot fans boast about making a soulless distant billionaire richer, through his scamming of their stupidity; on the pitch the club is a laughing stock. Going into a new season with just one recognised striker - the French donkey who couldn't hit a barn door. Record cash in the bank but holes everywhere. Being charged the highest ticket prices in Europe, but spending less than Burnley and Getafe on players. A manager riling about the excesses of football but picking up a royal mint for himself. Being proud about all that cash in the bank, but the club not reducing prices.

It's fucking tragicomedy, and the butt of the big joke isn't Wenger. He's just a mediocre wannabe savant economist with an average pedigree for elite football management. Kroenke, Gazidis and Wenger continue to laugh at football's stupidest and most gullible entity. The blind mugs that fall for the same con trick every year, yet come back for more, with no complaints: the Arsenal fan.

The fans deserve a mediocre autocrat like Wenger, and dictators don't piss-off willingly. So enjoy being a big joke for many years to come. God knows, you've earned it!

Yep, it's a bloody Masterpiece!
And those that are complaining are doing what?
put up or shut up comes to mind ,plenty of energy to coat off fellow supporters on the internet
but no ffffing energy to try to do anything about it

muppet fans, pathetic,works both ways

Cannot sign him until January. By then we should be in a titanic battle for 3rd or 4th with an injury list as long as my arm so who knows...... Nice and cheap as well, the first thing Wenger looks at.

On a serious note not a chance in hell this will happen. Wenger may have a whole host of faults but he will not be oblivious to the fans' opinion of him after he stamped on van Persie's head and then ran the length of the pitch to mug off our fans. Not to mention that Wenger probably doesn't particularly like him.

As he is a free agent another PL club can sign him can't they? Bit more difficult for him after another failed move and without a previous club to subsidise his crazy wage demands.

I expect to read about Besiktas and Gala coming in for him.

Sherwood might try and get him to Villa if the owners are stupid enough to consider signing such a player.

Other than that, perhaps a big money (he loves that stuff!) move to the Middle East or China?

Wenger should be given a 10-year contract in view of his sterling service to us over the years. Upon his sad demise we should build a mausoleum in which to house his holy corpse and then, as a mark of respect to the great man, fold the club and cease trading. :dancingbanana:

the sticking points would be
a) He will be expected to score/assist some goals
b) He would expect a not unsubstantial salary for his contribution.
c) His contribution would be about as meaningful as Diaby's was over the past 3 seasons.

I feel your pain. But if we did lock it you'd have every retard on here starting an anti-Wenger thread every time they thought about him and we'd end up with 26,852 Wenger threads. And that'd be just the first day!
