Don't mind the European Cup being bloated as long as it's done in an exciting way. Start the main competition in February, with the 32 teams, two-legged ties until the final, no seeding. Stop this group bollocks.

Re: Zagreb away match thread
The excitement of the CL, in which you only have to finish in the top 4 to qualify, and when your in the competition you only have to be better than Zagreb and Olympiakos to ensure a top two finish and a last 16 thrashing from The likes of Madrid or Barca. When the club said said we were moving to the Emirates to compete with the best of Europe, they must have meant to be in the same competition as them.

Yeah this is as exciting as The Norwich Hospital Cup won by our neighbours in their glory years. Th sickening irony of this competition for Arsenal is that when the interest actually comes into it , in terms of knockout football, then the Arsenal go out of it. I would love Arsenal to win it and be Champions of Europe , but would prefer to do so as (A) being Champions of England and (B) beating Champions of other countries along the way.DB10GOONER wrote:^^The modern shit version of the wonderful old European Cup summed up beautifully.Leyton Gooner wrote: Completely forgot about this mind numbing shitThe CL is indicative of everything that is wrong in the modern game; boring, bloated, driven by greed, all knickers and no vadge, and run by corrupt dirty fucking bastards.

We are not champions. We should not be in it. Fuck off UEFA.![]()

Moving to new stadium made sure 60000 fans gives the board their hard-earned money instead of only 38000.No one said anything about winning cups.
Its too expensive to win trophies.

Zagreb were unbeaten in the league last year, they are 41 unbeaten at the moment. This won't be easy. Come on Arsenal!!!
