CL potential changes

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

it won't affect le cock.
this only takes effect from 2017/18 when hopefully Wenger will have fucked off.

ironic that him laying an egg in CL could lead to it being tougher for him to qualify for CL if a spot is diminished

and btw, I believe he'll leave the Emarites in a coffin

I hope we do lose the extra place; Wenger would have conniptions. He would probably stare incredulously as, after finishing fourth, was told it's no longer a trophy and won't grant him access to the cup he'll never, ever win anyway.

3rd is the new 4th.

Goes to show really why it's seen as a 'success' not only getting into the group stage each time, but then also getting out of them into the last 16, because of those crucial 4 points that help ensure you can reach the same position year after year by maintaining 4 teams from your country.

You only pick up a further 1 point each for getting quarters, semis and final. That should be adjusted, Arsenal have surfed that wave for too long in all honesty.
