Re: Chavs season re-launch
When your player wins an appeal against a red card, the ref should be given a three-match ban instead and you should be allowed to start the next game with 12 men against the same opponents.

YEAH..... joke aint it...... after what Costa done Gabriel should have chinned him the spineless coward.....StuartL wrote:Is it because he the leave he pitch ?Redarmy wrote:Exactly gutless wankers at the FA, Gabriel already has the 3 match ban, what the fuck is going on????rodders999 wrote:Why the fuck is Gabriel being charged again? Surely that amounts to double punishment or isn't a red card and a 3 match ban sufficient for flicking your leg at someone. Fuck off FA you dozy pricks
Argued and demonstrated for quite a while.

Exactly how does this ruling benefit Arsenal??????
We got cheated out of that game, we should have been playing against 10 men
Other than the fact that everyone now knows Costa is a cheating spineless coward, even his own team mates

Re: Chavs season re-launch
The FA has overturned his red card only so they can hit him with a separate ban for not leaving the field.
They will have to keep Mourinho happy after banning Costa so one can guarantee Gabriel will get some nonsense punishment too.

I'm hoping he'll just get a hefty fine. Joey Barton once left the pitch kicking and scream and being dragged off and nothing happened to him.officepest wrote:The FA has overturned his red card only so they can hit him with a separate ban for not leaving the field.

Absolutely. Would be unusual to let him off after charging him.officepest wrote:The FA has overturned his red card only so they can hit him with a separate ban for not leaving the field.

They will slap him with a ban for being annoyed that the referee has completely unjustifiably sent him off after an opponent carried out at least one act of violent conduct towards a teammate and was spitting and screaming in his ear like a madman with zero intervention from the ref. Half of the red cards you see give way to worse reactions.

We should sign her...she's well fit...the only problem would be that we'd all know that that Pikey john racist terry has already been there.

I find it disgraceful that there's no such thing as a charge for cheating in such a way as to try and get a fellow professional sent off.
It's the lowest of the low. Cheating at it's most disgusting. Punishment? - nothing whatsoever.
Punishment for taking off a shirt in celebration? yellow card.
Punishment for a keeper slightly missing the ball and accidentally bringing down a striker? penalty and 3 match ban.
Insane. Costa should get a 6 match ban: 3 for the foul on Koscielny and 3 for getting Gabriel sent off.
Football is it's own worst enemy. Stamp out cheating.

What's even worse is the fact that there will be no open enquiry into the conduct of the referee, it is extremely rare that you hear of action taken by the Referees Association for poor performance.
Maybe the Away fans at the match should have to be recompensed by the individual responsible for spoiling their afternoon.
Garth Crooks was right in what he said, it does seem more and more these days that the Refs want to be the stars of the game rather than just refereeing the match.

True, but I don't think refs go out to deliberately ruin games. They should be punished when they do, but it's more incompetence than anything more sinister.GoonerMuzz wrote:What's even worse is the fact that there will be no open enquiry into the conduct of the referee, it is extremely rare that you hear of action taken by the Referees Association for poor performance.

He was conned by Costa. And that's what annoys me: why is there no punishment for players who try and con the referee into sending fellow professionals off? - it makes the ref look silly, puts the opposition down to 10 men, brings the game into disrepute and undermines sportsmanship.
Yet despite all that; there's no punishment for it? why? I find that really weird.

It encourages cheating because there's little or not consequence to being caught yet everything to gain.
