As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Giroud absolute shite again. As for Campbell how is he still at the club
He plays for the ££££ and don't be under any illusions thinking otherwise - a quick look back at his employment record will show you the importance/priority he has given to money in his career
In general I agree with this. However, a quick look at my employment record would show a similar thing. Whilst employed by somebody though I always do my best for that company.
Let me guess, Campbell could be still at the club because not even Wenger would not be so crazy as to release him when we only have 1.5 strikers.
Don't recall too much chest beating from Flamini when he was boarding a plane for Milan back in 2008.

Afterwards wtf was was that wait all about , complete shambles from their OB .
Your Choice is blend in with the spuds and hope u dont get sussed or wait in the ground for 40 mins .
Thats about it fella, the policing is a disgrace, Familys not safe to go to a sporting event, the Police have a duty to protect
So many moronic scum down there its unreal, give us a proper cup allocation of 5,000 and see what happens
What a refreshing change to wake up and instead of realisation settling in that we lost, but to feel a big grin settling on my face as I remembered Flamster's volley. Whoo, Whoo

As I was saying in another thread they can sniff you out even if you are not wearing colours. I dread going to WHL because I've worked with soo many spuds down the years it is inevitable that I will bump into one of them, and be outed.
Going back to the gooners who ripped the advertising hoardings up, in hindsight it was a pretty stupid thing to do in full view of cctv etc. If they are season ticket holders, then they can expect to have their membership terminated which will be pretty gutting for die hards that have been to loads of away games. The requirements for this game was something stupid like 25 credits. Spurs will defo do their best to smash up the toilets on November 8th.
Jonny_Gooner wrote:Giroud was completely absent throughout the game I felt, bar the miss of a half chance. Ramsey, despite being played in his favoured position, was nowhere to be found; how I miss the old Ramsey who scored goals for fun it seems!
I feel that Ox should start games much more regularly. I'd rather see him on the right providing width, drive and pace than Ramsey who has been out of form for months on end now. In terms of midfield I do feel that Flamini is a better option than Arteta, and wouldn't mind seeing a combination of Coq Flamini in certain games; I feel it would provide a more stable basis allowing our attacking from four to get forward, along with our fullbacks.
Also I have to add that it's rather reassuring to have a decent back up in the goalkeeper department!
Which Ramsey of old is that? He's had a mere 6 months purple patch run at a time we were flat track bullying a set of favourable fixtures. Even during that time, he still looked ordinary the minute we faced any semblance of a proper opponent. Prior to and beyond that, he's been a most infuriating player.
Let's not try try rewrite history here.
I'm not trying to re-write history in the slightest. He had a good season and a half at the very least. 13/14 season he was stellar. If he could somehow recapture that kind of form then he could still be very good, but he hasn't been able to for whatever reason, maybe he was a one season wonder? Who knows.

Chambers as left centre half, Arteta and Flamini in mid-field,(neither of them could run for a bus),and Campbell as part of the front 3!
I am now convinced that the senile one is just trying to mug us off!
What an expert fucher y R Just enjoy the moment - we feckin won
I did enjoy the win. However, both Arteta and Flamini both got booked because they are too slow,(and another bad tackle from either of them could have cost us), and Chambers scored an own goal....."Ye Fucher."

Sold out to 10+ credits, was one of the easiest NLDs to get to in years. Lucky enough for those who got to it in the end.
Policing didn't work, you don't kettle all the way to Seven Sisters after holding Gooners back for getting on for an hour. There won't be enough scum fans around after that to cause trouble, if there are, let them go for it.
Let's not forget that when Flam 'walked out on the club' he had just completed a great season playing out of position at full back where he performed heroically to help guide us to the Champions league final where he was duly dumped/replaced by a certain Cashley. (Have a go at him by all means).
The club had overlooked the issue of offering him a new contract (well done Arsene) so can you really blame him when his boyhood idols Milan came in for him?
He gave his best during the time he was at the club but the Arsenal just assumed they could offer a contract when they fancied and I really think he felt he was being taken for granted.
He returned and has shown the same passion / commitment that he did in his first spell.
Appreciate him while he's here- the man is a legend!!!
The man has a history of running down his contracts thus enabling him to keep getting lucrative bosman deals so don't tell me he isn't a greedy mercenary.
Btw, when you have a player that has just broken into the French national squad and who is coming into his prime, the last thing he should do is go to a club where he will be sitting on the bench behind one of the best ball winning midfielders in Europe........unless playing games isn't an ambition

also known as honouring a contract. A rarity these days (that's slightly tongue in cheek, but also true)

he joined AC Milan, one of the greatest clubs in the history of football. I don't doubt for a second that he dreamed of playing in that famous red and black shirt worn by Maldini, Baresi, Van Basten, Gullit, etc. It was naive/ambitious to think he could make the step up and it didn't work out but is it right to criticise all players who join bigger clubs and don't make the grade? - is it better to try and fail? or stay in your comfort zone? some would argue ambition is testing yourself and seeing how far you can go even if you risk failure.
Anyway, it doesn't really matter if it's greed or not; all that matters is a player gives his all on the pitch and I think Flamini does try hard.
The ONLY issue for me is that he lacks the quality to play the role in this Arsenal team. Still pleased he scored 2 though. Good on him.
