THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Oh and there is a poll at the end of the article that you should vote in.
Superfan Claude is in that pic too Chippy.
I hate Claude. Comes out shouting about Wenger leaving after games, yet criticises anyone that protests against the manager :banghead:

He's a mental case and a whore for attention. Wish him and the rest of AFTV would just fuck off.

Why is the majority of the Arsenal fan base so content for this bullshit to continue day after day, year after year. It is the most incredible bizarre situation at any sporting institution in the world. So many people so passive to such incompetence. Unbelievable.

But didn't you hear the 'toxic' atmosphere afterwards mate - at least 30 people booed, and the dressing room door is slammed shut so Arsene's bound to be shaking them all to the core with a post match rollocking. Sales of official matchday scarves were 5% down too, so that'll show Stan

Unfortunately until some of the press come out against Wenger they wont think be any trigger for it to happen. Just now Wright was on BT but he still defended Wenger by saying the players had let him down.

It's starting to feel like the last year or so of Clough at Forest. The fans didn't want to admit that the fella had completely run out of ideas, because of previous achievements. And that's what's happening with the blinkered idiots who still insist on backing him and refuse to see that we are gone as a team. I still struggle sometimes to understand how it has got so bad, but his and the club's disregard for the fans is just totally unacceptable! Thanks for 1997 to 2005 but get your coat and slip quietly out the back door.

Sums up my feelings exactly.

And what's worse is that one win against any opposition, no matter how weak or naive, will have thousands of numpties singing his praises and his f***ing name!!! It's a recurring nightmare that we can't wake up from.

Yep. The largest open revolt we've seen in the space bowl was when the attendance was announced against villa a few seasons back. Proper order too because the club falsifying the amount of people in the ground clearly is the most fucked up thing going on at the football club these days
