THE WENGER THREAD
Re: THE WENGER THREAD
The Arsenal manager hit back at the sweeping criticism of his side.
He said: “I think you lack a bit of creativity in the press at the moment, that you follow a bandwagon that is very very, very, very boring. I don’t go along with that.
Aptly describes the malaise the team is in!

It's wishful thinking, mate.Gunner Rob wrote:it looks like Wenger is really starting to lose the plot big time.
I reckon he could completely flip if we lose to United because the press will really go for him then.

If getting trounced 2-8 at Old Toilet and getting a solid no-lube butt-fucking by the chav for your 1000th game don't get the media baying for your blood, nothing will. If we win on Sunday, he's right and we are all wrong. If we lose, the media have a bit of a pop for a few days, then we molest someone 5-0 and he's right again and we are all wrong again and the media move on.
The media secretly love the Wenger's and Moron-hio's of this world; their epically stupid quotes sell tabloid rags by the million.

Brilliant stuff! Now that the fukwit's ball sack is wedged firmly in the vice lets keep turning that wheel slowly and squeeze the life out of him. I will take immense pleasure in his eventual demiseaugie wrote:I love to see the b*stard squirm when he is put under pressure in press conferences![]()

Absolutely comical - I don't give a fcuk whether journo's are afraid of asking him the proper questions today or not, they will all see that interview and they will not be happy with how 2 of the fellow journo's were treated when asking genuine questions. To threaten to walk out in the middle of a press conference that he is OBLIGED to do, is to stick a big two fingers at the the football journalists en masse and that will not do him any favours with the press - if he now turns around and loses the game on sunday then this attitude might come back to bite him on the arse

What could this be about?

No, apparently. It had barely begun and yet the press conference is already over ... apart from the bit that is embargoed until later tonight but we can't talk about that so shhhhhhhhhh.

He happily discusses his transfer policy and team selection when it suits him, the arrorange of this man knows no bounds but at the end of the day he's given licence to do as he chooses for his 8 Mil a year by that walking disease kroenke and worse of all by us the fans! Unfortunately the Mike Dean petition will gain 200 times the amount of signatures the wenger out petition will get which sums up the sorry state of affairs not only upstairs but in the stands as well!

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Say what you like about Jose - and yes the man is an absolute c***, the Carneiro incident was a Disgrace eg - but it's basically taken Mourinho to put the question out there to the wider public that any half-sensible Arsenal fan has been asking for 11 years: just Who, if anyone, is Le Tool accountable to?
Make no mistake, if Jose hasbt put it out there, the press woulda carried on massaging Wenker's balls, comparing him to a Fergie-esque Elder Statesman. Nope.
That journo question today is THE best question I've ever heard any journo ask him (closely followed by Jacqui Oatley. Another classless moment from Le Cretin).
"Who are you accountable to, and if you're accountable to nobody is that a healthy situation?"
His tetchy response is absolute proof if any were needed that he knows the Dictator is finally having his rule openly challenged!
Don't get me wrong after wins v Sunderland, Bournemouth and Villa you'll get Paddy Barclay, John Cross and the spunk-crust licking Emirates sheep lining up to praise him and Ozil...
But this is superb. At LAST

Have to say, lads - this growing hysteria over what he says to the media is starting to sound just a tad precious. Don't get me wrong, I agree he talks bollocks, often arrogant bollocks, but name one manager that doesn't? His media shite talk is standard for the job. It really doesn't offend me or upset me that much tbh... certainly nowhere near as much as his mismanagement does.

The way I see it is that Wenger thinks he has already proved himself. And that he doesn’t need to prove anything to anyone ever again.
He has been manager for so long that he now sees the club as his own. Kroenke as owner is the crucial and final layer of protection Wenger needed to carry on doing things the way he likes for as long as he likes.
After a poor Arsenal performance and result, Wenger will give us his observations (usually very banal ones) but he never actually explains anything in detail or takes the blame.
In interviews or press conferences, Wenger sits there like he is some old wizard, a fountain of wisdom. Someone who is there for people who want to gain knowledge. And that’s probably why he cannot take any form of questioning or criticism.
And he will be exactly the same this time next year. No defeat or humiliation will ever humble him now. He is too far gone.
Re: THE WENGER THREAD
I agree. Ask Villa and Liverpool fans for example. A lot of their fans can't stand what Tactics Tim and Brent have to say,DB10GOONER wrote:Have to say, lads - this growing hysteria over what he says to the media is starting to sound just a tad precious. It is good though that since Mourinho's last comments, the press are starting to really get under Wenger's skin again. I do think that too much damage to his ego and his pride will cause him to not renew his contract, which I think is the best we can hope for realistically.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
the bit on transfers reads like a comedy sketch
Question: You were, rightly or wrongly, linked with a couple of players who went there. Martial being one of them…?
“Anthony Martial was not sellable. He was not on the list. He was one of the players Monaco didn’t want to sell.”
Question: So, how come they did?
“So we never made any approach for him.”
Question: But Manchester United managed to buy him…?
“Yes, but they managed to do it because they paid special money.”
Question: Was he overpriced?
“The future will tell us if he is overpriced.”
Question: Morgan Schneiderlin was another you were linked with…
“There again I have information on this cases that I am not in a position to tell you.”
Question: Oh, go on…
Laughter….

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Wish he didn't bring Jose into it. The interviewer was doing well without mentioning him.
People have been saying Arsene is untouchable at Arsenal for maybe 4 years now. The press conference displays his arrogance for all to see. Apparently, only one player in Europe that can improve the squad. Are we Barcelona? nope we are Arsenal who finished 3rd, 13pts behind a team that got knocked out by PSG in the L16.
I cannot believe he is lauded for successive qualifications for the CL but only once came close to winning it. Just wish someone will ask as direct a question as possible. When are you quitting Arsenal FC? When will you let someone else have a go?
