THE FRANKSAV MUSIC THREAD

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Punktastic :barscarf:
:high5:

Punk Rock Since 1978.

I'm a maniac!

Seen 'em back in '02 in a pub. So many old-school bovver boys; the place fairly reeked of cider and amphetamines.
Punktastic is Stiff Little Fingers "Hanx". Still one of my all time favourite albums even now 253 years later! :D 8)

Brilliant live band, fantastic songs. 8) 8) 8)

Hanx and SLF are the dog bollocks and they're still touring today, a great live band

Loudest thing I have ever heard - louder even than Ministry.

My ears are still fucked.

I really liked their early stuff but then the fat junkie kinda put me off them a bit. Is the new album up to the early stuff, Flash?
Top Tip:

Save yourself money by not buying new Libertines records. Instead, simply play any old Libertines album and randomly recite some Kipling over the music.

This will also benefit Pete Doherty’s health as the hit to his pocket will mean he won’t able to spend quite as much money on heroin. :barscarf:

The one on the left of JL was Dave the Mackem who insisted on showing me his prosthetic leg which he wanted Rambo and John to sign, so we took him down and they signed it and invited him for the piss up , and I am the Fat Bastard with the bins .
There are 2 other members of the Herd 1 in retro 4"be2" T-shirt and the great Rambo Stevens is in there too at the front looking much younger and fitter than the rest of us ! Some of the other fattys are Public image, quite by far the best PIL line up ever !

Fuck. I thought I was in my own twilight world, being the only SLF appreciator.
Good to know I'm not alone.

Loudest gig I was ever at was AC/DC in the RDS Dublin back in the 80's. We were front row left of centre and fuck me sideways the bass bins were deafening - and then they rolled out the cannons!! Honestly could not hear fuck all for two days. My folks were shitting it and kept nagging me to go to the doctor. But eventually my hearing came back.

There were times during the gig that the boom from those bass bins was pounding so hard in my chest I felt dizzy and nauseous.  Fucking immense gig though. Best live band I've ever seen. Followed closely by Van Halen at Donnington and The Maiden. 8)

Noel was on soccer am this morning and there was some villain on from the latest Bond film with a Spud shirt on. The villain was asked why he started supporting the scum and he said he didn't know anything about soccer but one of his mates got him to start supporting them coz he had no other team.

To which Noel retorted "If I knew nothing about football, I'd probably support S**** too" :barscarf: :barscarf:

Oasis already my favourite band. Noel my 2nd favourite songwriter behind Dylan of all time. Solo carer = Topper Harley.

The gift that keeps on giving :barscarf: :barscarf: Facking Norven Monkey
