When he did a U-turn two years ago when we won the Calendar Year Trophy, as far as I'm concerned he gave up his "Wenger Out" status. Remember when we were top the league, he was banging on about giving Wenger the benefit of the doubt and how we'd changed for the better......of course, most of us on here knew that the inevitable collapse was coming and so it proved as we were welted at Anfield, the Etihad, Chavford Bridge and Goodison in quick succession and managed to win the 4th placed trophy despite being in a 2 horse race till Marchnorthbank123 wrote:Piers Morgan is probably the most damaging individual to the WOB campaign.
He is an attention-seeking prick and after a couple of decent results he will invariably U-turn. Added to that he is a prize twat and unfortunately to a lot of people he represents the views of the anti-Wenger campaign.

Since we signed Ozil there has been a noticeable change, for me, in terms of buying elite players/attracting elite players. It seems to me that only in the last couple of seasons has paying off the stadium not been holding us back and that has led to trophies. At this point, I'm willing to give Wenger this season and the next to build something again. I think we're well into the process already.
You forgot to mention that Arsene has had us top of the league in June for the past 10 consecutive years! Alphabetical champs baby!
This "title race" Wenger is apparently in. Is it the same one West Ham, Spuds, Leicester and Palace are all in? Just checking

Also couldn't agree more on that "notable" change in buying the top players. This summer, quality outfield signings with £200m sitting in the bank eh!

And yes it's a remarkable achievements winning a couple of FA Cups (especially since good ol Le Tool told everyone the FA Cup was beneath 4th place about 5 years ago!).
Mind you, that incredible CL challenge Arsene is currently putting up is silencing the critics so fair enough.
Do you do parties and when are you next touring?

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Apparently all party bookings are cancelled at the mo cos the big red nose is missing

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Always 2 players short, ridiculous contracts to redundant Rosicky,Arteta, flam, diaby. And selling the future.
The reality is 4th place is enough for them. Why spend more when 60123 sheep's will always turn up every other Saturday.

Ye and we didn't win at the weekend either , what's his fucking excuse for that !
Seriously folks , I want him gone like most of us but in a dignified Arsenal way with a person lined up that will be a long term replacement and I don't see one of those on the Horizon . . . . Yet !
seeing some of the stuff on here week after weekl seems to place everything from global warming to peadophiles in Islington homes at his doorstep

Don't think so, mate. I've lurked here for over a year. I just thought I'd join up and commiserate with the gang.StuartL wrote:Hello - you look familiar, have we met before ?
The fact that Wenger makes almost £22K a DAY now for abject failure since 2008 is scandalous. Only this yank-infested, corporatized club would have tolerated him past 2011.

Let's face it - even when Wenger is gone, the myth and aura about him will live on because he has destroyed the club and changed it into something completely different.
Gazidis has said the club has Wenger's DNA Something like that shouldn't have been allowed to happen at a big club like Arsenal ... but it did happen.
Pre-Wenger Arsenal fans (and I include myself in this) wanting our old club back are like someone you see in a film trying to revive a corpse. Slapping it, shaking it, willing it back to life ... we all need someone to come over and drag us away saying ''leave it mate, she's dead''.
