THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Contact the club. You never know, they might fund it  that would certainly be one way of eliminating your critics :rubchin:

only at at Arsenal could a manger who has delivered fuck all worth while for over 10 years be offered a contract extension because weve had a good month,FFS what if we won the league what would they offer him then?????? I envisage seeing him even when hes dead still on the touchline like Davros from the daleks, bottom half dalek top half Wenger being moved with wires and electric pulses :(
BTW if anybody could photoshop this image it would be gratefully appreciated,id love to see the future

i must admit though that Wenger is proving myself and a lot of others on here wrong this season.
you can't really argue with the results over the past month.. hopefully he can continue to prove me wrong next month too.

Agree with this. I think that everyone would like to see that happen without some blip. I still think that we could use another defensive midfielder and a striker, but wouldn't know who the striker would be. With that, we could be thereabouts come May. Fingers crossed. Without them - we are hoping that Coq doesn't get hurt. I am not including Arteta and Flamini as I don't see them as credible alternatives.

With the media and instant news in the footballing world, I still scratch my head about any talk of a title when we have played a little over 10% of our league schedule. It seems like every game, there is talk about it. It is nauseating.

Have to say highlights of season so far being the progress of Bellerin and the fighting qualities of Gabriel

That tackle against Everton yesterday was just great.....hes a real fighter for the team.....

Can't believe how thin he has let the squad become. One attacking player from having no option than Joel Campbell. Clearly can't think enough of akpom or gnabry.

Not just the tackle but also the reaction after..I don't think I have seen that type of emotion since Keown/Adams era..

its ok I dont for a minute think we are title contenders :D

all i am saying is that the last month has been impressive - injuries and lack of transfer activity will come back to haunt us in the end of course

Both are on loan, TBF Gnabry hasnt done much other than to warm the bench, 2 appearences for WBA  . Akpom has scored 2 in 15 games, so not really set things on fire at Hull- can we recall at a moments notice? In any case he plays Wally or Giroud as sole attacker so we are 2 away not one.

The overall squad is "short" but it seems more in the DM or CB positions rather than a striker that we are short. (I know we need a decent striker....)
