Re: FC BAYERN AWAY
got nothing to say on the match really as we have all seen it before and nothing changes.
the CL is an increasingly pointless competition designed so that only the elite 3 or 4 clubs can win it.
the one good thing from last night is the fact that it is now shown only on BT in the UK means that far fewer people will have watched it than had it been on ITV.

Meant to ask this question before, but how come itv not showing it anymore ? Isn't/wasn't there a rule or law that stated that it is mandatory to have at least one game in every round available on terrestrial television ?

TA6, Uncle, Nutty - those lads need to take the big pussy aside and explain that you are supposed to throw yourself in front of the ball, not turn your fucking back on it.
Worse was the cheek of the big vagina then saying post match that we "were not brave enough"!!! What the absolute fuck??!! YOU were not brave enough you lanky fucking girl! AGAIN!!

Giroud had a good game in extremely difficult circumstances and his chest trap and volley was brilliant with two defenders on him. Ozil was better than everyone on our side put together.
Joel Campbell looked like he was blowing after 30 minutes. Is the fucker unfit or something?
To right. The German was a fucking disgrace. His effort was piss poor for a Captain, no leadership whatsoever and that on the back of his no show against Sheff Wed. Another who needs to be shown the door.
Two games and twice we have thrown the towel in. Into November and out of 2 competitions already........................
Re: FC BAYERN AWAY
How about these pearls from arseblog this morning -
"careless Arsenal allow Bayern to shine"
Allow them ?? As in we are as good as them and made them look good ?? Bayern are light years ahead of us and that is the reality of it. There is no point pretending that we are on the same level as them when you already tasted defeats to shit teams like Zagreb and olympiacos
Do not fear going forward though cos he had this piece to boost our morale -
"The worry is that any time you lose 5-1, no matter how much context you can put it in or how you can see where you went wrong, it affects confidence and belief. Ahead of a North London derby on Sunday it’s not ideal. On the other hand, as we’ve seen already this season it can prompt a positive reaction. Losing consecutive games to Zagreb and Chelsea saw us beat Sp*rs (Capital One Cup) and high-flying Leicester away from home"
Yes that is right folks........winning a mickey mouse league cup game and beating the mighty Leicester, proves that we can bounce back from adversity
A team with the financial resources and the amount of quality players we have, should be very proud of beating a Leicester team that are only back in the prem league just over a year now
When you ask yourselves why we moved to the grove, it was because it makes beating the likes of Leicester more attainable - to think that people don't believe we can win the premier league

Refreshing to see none other than John Cross telling it how it is and not attempting to find some way to rim Le Gimp for once
But don't worry because there's no one in world football who can improve our squad

But nothing directly critical of Wenger, that is classic John Cross.postmanPat91 wrote:http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/ ... al-6768497

Hooking Campbell before the damage became terminal, putting Gibbs on to shore up a 4-0 deficit, altering tactics to nulify the threat down our right.
Wenger did nothing, again.
When is he going to take responsiblity for these horror shows?

Re: FC BAYERN AWAY
True... never looked at it that way. Being a Cross article I assumed he'd be finding every excuse under the sun for last night's performance. He's very harsh on the players here (and rightly so), but yeah he seems to be forgetting the buck stops with Wenger.foxinthebox2001 wrote:But nothing directly critical of Wenger, that is classic John Cross.postmanPat91 wrote:http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/ ... al-6768497

Re: FC BAYERN AWAY
An expected disgrace. Bayern are a superior team but no excuse for that 1st half performance. Please don't tell me the players were over confident from the home win 2 weeks ago? If they were then they have deluded themselves into believing they are better than they are, which can only spell trouble. I don't expect us to win by 2 clear goals in Greece so we're likely to finish 3rd. This would be a disaster for our league title hopes. Which despite last night we still have a good chance of winning. No premier league club has 2 forwards with the calibre of Lewandowski and Muller in the same team.
If by some twisted strand of fate we qualify for last 16 and fluke our way to the final, I've no doubt Munich will be there and will inflict the same kind of humiliation upon us as we did to Villa in the FACup final.

Re: FC BAYERN AWAY
Are you sure we will still qualify??? with players such as Debuchy, Gibbs, Metersecker and Campbellaugie wrote:Jumpers For Goalposts wrote:We will win the last 2 against European giants Zagreb and Olympiacos - qualify in 2nd place and Wenger will be hailed as a genius.
We will then get rogered royally in the last 16 (as we always do) but this won't be Wenger's fault because defeats are never his fault.
We will then finish 3rd or 4th and repeat the whole fucking process again and again and again . . . . . . . . . .
Absolutely - it just shows how shit football is in the current era because we have suffered 3 embarrassing defeats but will still qualify, and we have suffered many shocking domestic defeats in recent years but always comfortably retain our top 4 place![]()
That team will struggle to beat Olympiakos
Re: FC BAYERN AWAY
Obviously don't take a fucking scientist to see that the first 2 defeats have cost us dearaugie wrote:Robin_L wrote:If it makes you feel better blaming Wenger when we're losing to (probably) the best/2nd best team on the planet in amazing form whilst missing 8 players (wouldn't make any difference), then knock yourselves out.
This result was inevitable. Winning 2-0 in the home game was a bit daft, they were the better side comfortably too then, albeit not by this margin.
Is it ok to blame him for the earlier defeats in this group ? Those defeats are why we are in serious shit right now
I haven't seen the game yet so I don't know how bad we were, but it's true that Bayern are a class team. I do take issue with the suggestion that we had 8 players missing tonight - we had bellerin and kos missing and they are automatic first choices, but wally, ramsey and the ox are rotated players at best.
If we incur injuries (like we do every year) we are never going to progress with that squad
Looking at the Bayern bench against ours is a fucking joke

It's the Wenger way mate. Partially clear up a huge fucking mess that's he's made for himself and be hailed a genius, before falling flat on his skinny Gallic arse all over again. Hasn't he spent the last 10 years just doing enough to keep the wolf from the door????Redarmy wrote:Are you sure we will still qualify??? with players such as Debuchy, Gibbs, Metersecker and Campbellaugie wrote:Jumpers For Goalposts wrote:We will win the last 2 against European giants Zagreb and Olympiacos - qualify in 2nd place and Wenger will be hailed as a genius.

You're right though - this current squad could lose to anybody at anytime. Just like every squad since 2006 . . . . . .

Re: FC BAYERN AWAY
I wonder if any team in the history of the CL (from the modern set up) has ever got through the group stage after losing to each of the other 3 teams.
Re: FC BAYERN AWAY
As always in this tournament, we will have a glorious defeat as there won't be any pressure to perform. We will beat Zagreb and be 1-0 up on Olympiacos and Giroud will miss a sitter while someone hits the woodwork, consigning us to Europa. We will fare moderately better there, but ultimately lose in the round of 16 or possibly 32.

Re: FC BAYERN AWAY
it is no coincidence that the first year that they have changed the seeding structure for the group stages will be the year that sees us get knocked out at this stage.
Wenger has had a free ride for a decade in the CL. The last 16 knock out trophy now seems a distant dream....

Re: FC BAYERN AWAY
Absolutely right mate ! Like we saw against Sheff Wed (and numerous times before that), there is no burning desire to keep the ball out of our net anymore. Koscielny is another one who regularly turns sideways instead of throwing his body in the way of a shot.DB10GOONER wrote:The Big German Vagina was a disgrace again last night. This body shape reminds me of when I was a kid and we used to play a game called ‘sting ball’. A few kids would line up against a wall and you had to throw a tennis ball at them as hard as you could. They only got off the wall and became a ‘stinger’ if they caught the ball. Often what would happen is they would turn sideways on and bring their knees up to protect themselves from the pain (yeah us London kids were tough alright

Looking at Metersacker for that 2nd goal I bet inwardly he was screaming ‘don’t hurt me, don’t hurt me’ ... a real proud addition to a long line of tough centre backs we've had at the club
