Just watched on Sky News!

Maybe but to me, and it is ridiculous but I think it is true, the Mayor of London is simply a token figure!

If it was a genuine seat of authority do we really think that Ken and Boris would be involved?

I support Labour as previously stated but when it comes to London I actually think Boris has a heart that cares genuinely about the city!

He may well make a balls up of it but he will do it with the right intentions and was the best of three clowns!

London has replaced a disaster with a calamity.

We'll be the laughing stock of the developed world.

Local government in the UK only exists on licence, being a unitary state Westminster holds all the power.

London has always been an important prize though. The current GLA is but a shadow of what the LCC and the GLC used to have. The structure of London's local government has always been changed by central government because the latter has always seen it as a threat.

'Greater London' only exists because the Tories would never get control of London's local government without the outer ring. They abolished the GLC altogether because it was causing the tories problems.

The Tories controlling London is very rare. Since the 30s they've only had control between 1967-73 and 1977-81.

Boris Johnson, is a clown.
We might have well have got Jack Dee in charge.

I'll add to that.
Read his wikipedia. You'll be laughing for Hours!
He's offended pretty much everyone!

Hoooraaayyyy for Boris!!! If I was still in London, I'd have voted for him !

He's about the only candidate I can think of who I would vote for at any election right now.

I think Boris will go a long way towards cheering everyone up 8)

There was a great photo of Brois yawning, juxtaposed with one of the Gorillas at the new London Zoo enclosure doing the same - and you'd swear they were brother and sister

Not a good idea to hit politicians, they either smack you back like John Prescott, or you will get Special Branch arresting you!
