AFTER READING A FEW BLOGS COMMENTS AND THE SPY VS GS

I THINK ITS TIME TO JUST RELAX AND THINK ABOUT WINNING AND NOT WINNING HONOURS EVERY YEAR IF YOU COME FROM AN ARSENAL UPBRING AS I DO YOU HAVE YOUR DAD AND GRANDAD FOLLOWING ARSENAL OVER ABOUT 90 ODD YEARS AND AS ARSENAL HAVE BEEN GOING FOR 121 YEARS THATS NOT A BAD RECORD AND NOT A BAD RECORD IS OUR TROPHY LIST 13 C 10 FAC 2 LC 1 FC 1CWC 27 OVERALL BREAK THAT DOWN INTO YEARS PLAYING AND TROPHYS WON AND ITS WORKS OUT AT A TROPHY EVERY 4.1 YEARS NOW TELL ME WHICH CLUBS HAVE A BETTER RECORD AS THAT ( NOT TO MANY ) NOW THIS MAY WELL MEAN THAT ARSENAL WILL WIN A TROPHY NEXT SEASON ( I FOR ONE THINK WE WILL THE PREMIERSHIP ) SO WRITE THIS SEASON OFF AND GET READY FOR SEASON 07/08

you are correct hatchy Manure went 26 years not winning the title.Liverpool have gone 17 years since they last won the league,it took Chelski 50 years and a Russians money to buy the title. And dont laugh Spurs havent won the league for 46 years(and never will again) We have won 3 Premierships in 10 years.Its time people like the Highbury Spy waked up and smelt the coffee. Since Wenger came to Arsenal we have been punching above our weight,first against Manure they can spend Â£30 million on Ferdinand and Rooney we cant.Until the new stadium their crowds were nearly double ours,and they are still 18,000 more than us now.Then along came moneybags Chelski where money is no object.How can we compete with them.If Abramovich was in charge of Arsenal do you think Chelski would be anywere near us.Of course not.

At the start of this season i thought we would finish 3rd or 4th which we will do.But anyone who thought we would challenge for the title should be taken to the funny farm.
Judging by his picture Highbury Spy looks the same age as me so he will remember the dire days of the mid 70s and the early 80s(When our strikers included all-time greats as Hankin,Hawley and Chapman!!!)We have been spoilt by Arsene Wenger.Highbury Spy if you want instant success piss off to the bridge where success is bought not made. Give Wenger the money Mourinho has had and see how many trophies the Russians would have won. The day Wenger became Arsenal manager was the greatest in our history.Any youngters who werent born in the 70s ask your dad how poor we were and thank your lucky stars we our only going to finish 3rd this year.

Actually of all the money Chelski and Manure have spent, squad wise we are not that behind them. We did the double over manure and drew with Chelski once and should have beaten them in the Carling Cup final. There isnt any shortage of quality in the squad, and full credit to Arsene for that, he did that with half the resources.

we were pants in the 70's and 80's. I remember those dark days well. Ok we won stuff with GG but we were awful to watch (apart from 91). Wenger has won three prems and four fa cups (doing the double twice) playing the most attractive football ever seen. the man is a legend.

he will build this team and they will be successful - he's done it before and he'll do it again.

Moron-hio isn't shit without the russian criminal's mafia money and ferguson would never have had his success at another club. Wenger has changed modern football for the better and is without doubt the greatest manager of the last twenty years.

Arsene knows. The Spy blows.

some hilarious posts from a few years ago...all that optimism that Arsene would turn things around..
and here we are nearly 9 years later....and still no closer to challenging for the title...
