When you listen to phone-ins a lot of supporters from other teams come on griping about griping Arsenal fans, saying they wish they were in Arsenal's position. I'm sure they do, but they just don't get it. We were in a great position in 2004 and we've let it slip. We were told we were moving to a new ground to complete with the best, I understood that to a certain extent, but I've seen international players bottle it in big games and when the chips are down against lesser teams. Wonder goal buy Santi v England, a week later and he can't even hit the target from a penalty! :banghead: I've seen talented players fall by the wayside. The youth that we were supposed to be bringing on barely make it in the first team, most go out on loan and are never heard of again.

Finally, our supporters pay the most for a ticket in the league, and that means we fans expect to at least compete!! We have the money, but we don't buy anyone and I'm not buying this 'there's nobody better' god help them all if that's the case.

No fight, no bite, we're@@@@ !!!

(Fill in the last bit with your own word)

its been the same for years. Fans and journalists alike for years basked in the mirth of our trophyless run. You couldn't mention the club without "X years" being trotted out. The same people would also be the first to turn round and chastise us for being greedy and unrealistic when it suited them.

Comments from fans of lesser teams that they would be delighted are just moronic too. You obviously have to have some perspective on the capabilities, resources and history of the club - and not least its ticket prices. Of course Colchester United would be happy to qualify for the Champions League - what the fuck does that have to do with anything?

Others teams fans don't know the story like we do.

We have an owner who takes money out of the club with no real explanation.

We have board members who openly admit to having no plan beyond backing whatever the manager says.

We have a manager who....well why bother typing it all over again as we all know how incredibly flawed he is.

This club has the potential to be an absolute superpower in the game, but are happy to be the bridesmaid every year for a nice little profit.

Almost 30 years of supporting this club and I am really not sure I can take anymore.

that't exactly it. It's irrelevant what other people think as they're not living it like we are and have no emotional connection.

Liverpool demolishing Southampton in league cup. in just his short spell in England, Klopp has proved he is a 100% better than Wenger has ever been, didnt inherit a world class team like Wenger neither

Teams improving in form with a new guy in charge is nothing new.

Your suggestion that in less than 10 games he's proved to be 100% better than Wenger was when he was winning doubles and winning the league unbeaten is more evidence you're on the wind up.

Yeah 100% agree , what do they know..it is our emotional investment in a football club. That is more important than our financial investment.. Why should we as Arsenal fans be happy or glad that we are not Sunderland fans for example. We are not in a relegation dog fight every season ok, but we are Arsenal fans, not demanding success but demanding that our club make every effort possible to be competitive. we are not being competitive, we are clueless in a winnable league. Look how close we are and yet we all know we haven't the balls or brains to win it. So fuck what anyone else thinks, we love our club but our club is not being run in an efficient football manner. We stumble from injury to injury, we hear the same tired excuses from a manager who is five years past his best before date. Yet media and others tell us that we are lucky and shouldn't complain because we do not follow the Sunderlands (no offence) of this world..

Klopp Didn't inherit Bergkamp Wright platt seaman Adams Winterburn dixon known bould parlour...Wenger basically galvanised some really good players who didn't get injured every two seconds....if he had gone now to Liverpool then he would be doing FAR worse than klopp. Wenger was OK but he's no klopp

Liverpool whacked in 6 last night - ominous stuff. Klopp looks far too enthusiastic and eager to me. Includes Sturridge slamming in a couple like he's never been away. Yep, he's still doing that ridiculous goal celebration - how totally and utterly pathetic. I live in hope of nicknaming Klopp - 'The Flop', but it's not happening.

This is The Wenger Thread so back to business. Put simply, I have a big bag of 6" nails in my garage and a wrist-bending hammer, and I'd like to be first in line to nail down the lid - not wishing any harm, of course. What am I talking about, this bloke does my head in and gives me thunderous headaches lasting all week long.

And, I don't want to hear anyone from the club telling me afterwards that they were 'disappointed'. "What! You're disappointed are you?!" (imaginary conversation). "Tell you what, every time you lose a game or play like sh*t, why don't you give supporters back their hard earned ticket money + travel costs + beer/chips/pies/programme money, and donate the rest of your wages to charity. Supporters will still feel like sh*t afterwards, but at least their pockets will be fuller and yours won't."

Do it often enough and perhaps the penny might drop (or not).

Whilst I rate Klopp as well and wish he was our manager, players upping their game for a new manager is nothing new.

He is not going to turn this current side into title winners with a boost and shift in tactics alone - they are bang average. Klopp is in a good position because things were stale under Rodgers and this season is a freebie. Judge his impact this time next season when he's had a year with the squad and a chance to bring plenty of his own players in.

Cazorla out for 3 months. So he might be back in time to make Spain's Euro 2016 squad.

I'm waiting for Le Boss's "no value in the market", "difficult to get big players in January" etc, etc.
