Olympiakos Away Match Day 6

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Progression in this would only give the le bumholes bumhole lickers a reason to crow  x amount of years weve made the last 16 :blah: :blah: when in that time how many times have we had a serious run in the thing? weve been bumholed last 16 by barca bayern and the mighty monaco  in the last few seasons its embarrassing  If we win we win but if we dont its europa lge and i for one wouldnt mind that as its something different..we might even win a couple of games.

What do we, as the fans get for winning??? A reaming in the next round from one of the bigger clubs, more money for Kroenke, a pat on the back with a job well done for Wenger.....And sweet F all for us. Maybe now Wenger will wake up..... Nope...rinse,repeat,rinse,repeat....... Count me in as one of your "idiots" Fuck this & fuck Wenger.
This is just the retarded response that I come to expect from some on this forum. The club comes first ahead of any issues with management/ownership etc.

That retarded comment suggests a total inability to analyse things beyond face value - if you said that the TEAM comes first or that your own need to win comes first then I would understand your sentiments, but the club doesn't benefit long term by just ambling along as they have for the past few years. Kroenke only cares about money and it is in everyone's interest to hit him financially in the hope that it will drive him out of our club.
Try engaging your brain and look at the bigger picture BEFORE you label someone else a retard

Yup, it'll be "special" alright. In years to come it will rank up there with the miracle of St James' Park, the excitement of the Hawthorns, and the last season of the Antiques road show.
Imagine the "special" achievement of a club with the highest wage bill in their CL group (£192m), managing to scrape past the footballing behemoths of Zagreb and oil money Olympiakos. After a customary drubbing in Munchen...imagine how special it will be to watch another consecutive last 16 humiliation to another doped team like Monaco. Or Barca. Or Madrid. Or Atletico. Or Juve. Or any of the other 15 teams superior to us. And imagine what the club will get out of another last 16 cash windfall? Imagine all the Super Quality players that will join in January and over summer? Imagine what joy the fans will feel when they see our cash reserves break the £250m mark next summer!

"Special" indeed.

I don't think much (if any) of the reason why some Gooners want us to drop out of champs league, has anything to do with le cock - fans just want us out cos the club are only interested in the money to be gained from being in it, and if money is all they care about, then that is the spot where you can hurt them most 8)
Kroenke's not going anywhere.
Unless someone on this Forum is a multi-billionaire, or Flamini's energy project works out and he decides to buy the club, then we are stuck with Stan for a while yet.

I want us to win.

When would I want us to lose?

If Arsenal had won the domestic league and there was one game left of the season, and we were playing Southampton who if they were to win it would mean Spurs get relegated, then sure, I would want us to lose.
But only in those remarkable circumstances.

Agree wholeheartedly with this, just to look at Wenger's face whilst he's stuck to the dugout seat on a wet Thursday night will bring the utmost joy to me!!

Who is gonna be our Steven Gerrard? It was 11 years ago this week he scored the 3rd goal against Olympiakos to put them through to the knockout stage, they went on to win the champions league. Looking forward to this one.

I'm surprised that a number of posters see us winning.

Have we ever beaten them in Greece? I'm pretty sure we've lost two or three times.

Additionally, we've an injury problem / crisis, we've been shit in Europe this season and our current form has seen us amass four points from WBA, Norwich and Sunderland.

I'd love us to go through but I've no confidence whatsoever.

What's the fucking point???? - Even if we get through by some miracle and loads of luck - We will get mauled in the next round by any of the other qualifying teams... it is ALL about profit...we have an owner who won't invest but gets a nice little earner for doing fuck-all. We have a manager long past his sell by date - who is a law unto himself, listens to no one but the voices in his head...voices that are now at least 11 years out of date and out of synch with the rest of the footballing world.

So what's the point? = kerrrchingggg - the fans ripped off yet again.

One look at this smirking *word censored* is enough to get me angry... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
