Let's All Laugh At Man Utd! (Merged thread)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Whether we join them in the Europa or not, its great fun listening to their plastics behaving as predicted. I can remember like it was yesterday the snooty hoots of derision coming from OT when a growing number of Gooners were becoming increasingly pissed off with the 4th placed trophy, telling us all how ungrateful we were. This morning on Talksport, the usual Surrey Reds were phoning in saying how Van Gaal has totally lost the plot, has wasted money, has to go now etc etc. United fans are just like the Mickeys and their fickle bunch - 2 defeats away from wanting the manager sacked.

HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO SAY IT??? This thread is purely for ripping the piss out of the Manc scum. It's not a comparison to our performance. Plenty of other threads to moan about us!!! Just enjoy the schadenfreude!

Think our game at OT in Feb will now move to the Sunday or Monday as they will now be playing on the Thursday before :banghead:

You can say that about every fanbase - look at RAWK after a loss, or Arsenal TV after a defeat. Bluemoon when they lose is especially funny - proper meltdowns on there.

But yeah, well done for getting through last night - until Barca knock you out in the next round!

One day your lot might get to lift the Champions League trophy - won't be in my lifetime though!

Haha

In all seriousness though, I am fed up with Van Gaal and his turgid football. He's on limited time with the fans now.

Can't see him being here next season.

Every time his record is mentioned by the media, its always mentioned that he won the CL, no mention that it was 20 years ago. Its like the delusional members of our fanbase who are unwilling to accept that Wenger's last major achievement was in '04.

Fair play.

Although the way the support turned on Moyes and now on Van Gaal was amusing - calling in to 5Live, etc - especially as the fanbase are now picking up on the style of play - boring, turgid sideways shite as we at Arsenal are well used to as well - despite him having you near the top of the league. Whereas despite our relatively good position this season, we've already dropped 12 points or so and suffered numerous humiliations under a crackpot madman since 2011.

We are fully aware we'll go out in the next round of the CL and we'll never win it with The Old Fraud as our manager.

And at least Van Gaal is funny when he's pissed

From what I've seen at Redcafe, it seems preordained that Giggs will be the next manager. Some fuckers are actually comparing him to Pep already

They're also hopeful that G.Neville will do well at Valencia and perhaps put himself in contention for the job. There is a lot of Class of 92 worship amongst the Mancs for partially justified reasons. Others are more circumspect.

None of the players under Fergie made good managers - Unless you count Fatty Bruce. I'm not sure Co92 are any different, even if they do know the club inside-out. I mean what would we have given for Tony Adams to be Arsenal manager one day? Sadly things are not meant to be.

At least LVG won the CL though

Anyway, I was nicely diverted from the schadenfreude - Probably a deliberate tactic from Derek :box: :)

They seem to. Which is fucking stupid.

I've similarly heard people saying Gary Neville should be manager there soon.

Such an archaic attitude to clamour for massively inexperienced ex-players to get huge managerial jobs.
