THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Ha ha almost a year out with a bruised knee

He'd be back quicker if he'd been fucking paralysed although not with the help of any of our quacks.

Current Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech is apparently the goalkeeper for Arsenal's virtual "we nearly signed team " also.

If you want to see the key difference between how a big club operates, and how an unambitious one does, just see Bayern with Pep: Guardiola tells them he's leaving and within less than a few weeks they have his replacement identified, and signed. Meanwhile over at FC Farce, fans still ask themselves how the club would survive if the mediocre failure of the past decade.

I am gutted that ancelotti is joining Bayern next season - not as gutted as I was when klopp joined the victims, but getted all the same :(
I personally think that ancelotti would be a better appointment for us than pep (not that I am expecting change in the summer  )

You’re very spry for your age. Do you ever think about retirement?

Des, Ipswich

Arsene:

No, retirement is not something I will do. I will continue to manage Arsenal Football Club even if I am being kept alive in an Iron Lung, and can communicate only by blinking, for example. Such circumstances would make me only fight harder to be successful.

Yeah saying he has an aura around him and is very special, not sure why he did not play him against Olympiakos in CL

We won't get Ancelotti. We won't get Pep. We may get Remi Garde because even though he's on track to relegate villa with a record low points tally, he will do so in special circumstances.

Klopp having a bit of a mare at the moment, he'll probably come good though. If he was at Arsenal he would get given a decade to find his feet. Mourinho will probably go to United, win a few trophies, then that will also end in tears (it always does with him) Pep will probably go to City. Can't find anybody, anywhere to match Wenger's impressive credentials, so he stays.Lucky, lucky us.... turmoil everywhere, yet a sure and steady hand remains at the helm at the Emirates.

Sure and steady hand, nice sarcasm.
The same sure and steady hand that went in to 2014 on top of league, and his January business was loaning a crocked Swede, by the time we were kicking off the FA cup semi final we were down to 5th.

That's exactly the type of "sure & steady" we are used to
