THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Wenger wins the premiership in his last season and Pep arrives at the Arsenal, that would be changing over in Style

If you wish to parade in your birthday suit that's entirely up to you 8)

Just a serious thought though regarding Mr Guardiola. He's only managed 2 clubs and both of them were packed with world class talent to begin with. It's not as if he's had to take a struggling team and make them better.
I'm sure he's a good chap and all that but it'd be interesting to see him take a bigger challenge on...oh wait, Arsenal just might be that.

Perhaps a little bit unkind; Barca were packed with talent, but also riven with strife.

Pep's management turned them into the most complete football team that I've witnessed. No doubt he was helped by his extensive knowledge of the youth team, but they were all over the place when Rijkaard left.

Maybe he'll come on the condition that he can spend, spend spend.

Should that happen I will be prepared to forgive Wenker for not bowing out after the FA final win of 2014.

‘There is no history of teams winning big things without having a great goalkeeper,’

‘I’m 30 years in the job and what you learn over the years is that the goalkeeper is the most under-rated position in football, and maybe the most vital one to win things."

Who made these comments I hear you ask - why none other than the cock who put average almunia as our number 1 keeper and vice captain for a few years  That sort of perception and irony is something that can only be gained after working 30 years in the game

He just provides quotes in the present, his reasoning and logic is flawed

The most vital position yes agree with that, thats of course why we did not play Cech against Olympiakos i suppose,

And as you say put up with very average/poor keepers for years

It was also very refreshing to see that he also uses the old "30 years in football" defence when defending van gaal at manure  We all want van gaal to stay of course, but enough with the 30 years in football shit cos you have already shown that 30 years in football turns you into an outdated senile old c.unt

I wonder if the defending Van Gaal quote was somehow Wenger self promoting himself, or maybe i am too cynical
