Seems to be an awful lot of talk about this guy so you would have to wonder if there is some substance to these rumours

I don't know fcuk all about the kid, but I would be totally opposed to signing any player on loan, and especially a young player like this - what kind of commitment does it show if he is only using us to get into psg's plans ?
Personally I would prefer to sign an older, more experienced DM along the lines of a carvalho or bender, but of course le cock would prefer to sign a player to compete with flamoney instead a player better than him

I wonder if schneiderlin would consider leaving manure now

The Mirror claim #Arsenal have agreed a fee of around £5m with Basel for Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Elneny. pic.twitter.com/2Gt8StNp19

Re: Is it time for a Jan Transfer Window Thread Yet?
So Arsene will "only sign better than what we have". And with a real chance to win the title, goes out to sign the midfield version of Chamakh, a cheap French-speaking gimp from Basel. An absolute joke with all the money we have, going after cheapskates and trying to get Rabiot "on loan". So small-time it's comical

Re: Is it time for a Jan Transfer Window Thread Yet?
Ah yes. The old "I will only sign players who will improve us" argument for not strengthening. For taking the cowardly "no harm-no foul" route of not spending.Ikechukwu1 wrote:So Arsene will "only sign better than what we have". Then he turns up with the likes of Park, Kallstrom, Sanogo. Yea, that'll strengthen us.

From what I've seen and heard, this El Nenny fella is bang average. Another underwhelming signing to push us towards the title...Ikechukwu1 wrote:So Arsene will "only sign better than what we have". It must be that Kronke expects Wenker to buy the players out of his own money and then claim it back on expenses or somethingarmchair wrote:Ah yes. Buy us the 2 players to win the title you cheapskate.....

In the summer, Arteta, Flamini, Rosicky for starters will be gone (surely) so get a top quality central midfielder now.

Re: Is it time for a Jan Transfer Window Thread Yet?
What really cracks me up is the bollocks the club has been briefing the press on January signings.
On Lars Bender: "Wenger rates the player but has concerns about his injuries"
Lars Benser has a far superior injury record to Rosicky, Arteta and Coquelin. He also happens to be better than the 3. But hey ho, Arsenal a CL club with 200m cash, can't poach players from Leverkusen now apparently!
On Carvalho: "Wenger thinks the player is too expensive"
Ah yes of course we've been here before of course haven't we? Missing out on players who are "too expensive" like Alonso, like Suarez etc. Of course, all that money blown on the likes of Chambers (£16m and sending him back on loan) and the wages paid out to average players...
On Wanyama: "We like the player but the club won't sell"
Yes of course. How on earth could wee Arsenal bully oil money Southampton for one of their best players? It's not as if Schneiderlin, Bale, Walcott, Oxlade, Lovren, Lallana etc all got poached eh?
Pathetic. Any excuse to be arrogant and prove the great Lord Wenger can win on peanuts. Well here's the kicker: he won't.

"Buy, buy, buy, buy is always the solution that people see. I think it's true that we couldn't score, but we conceded goals [against Southampton] and we have enough defenders."
