The ''no one is coming'' Transfer Thread
Re: Is it time for a Jan Transfer Window Thread Yet?
Wenger saying he's gonna be busy during this transfer window doesn't mean he's gonna be busy doing transfers in. No doubt he'll weaken the squad with a number of players going out on loan. Debuchy, Chambers and Ospina are names touted to leave add to that Iwobi, Reine-Adelaide going out for experience will leave us vunerable.
Is Jenkinson on loan till January or for the season?
As for the injury situation apart from Sanchez the others seem to have disappeared into the abyss that is the treatment room. Does anyone know when Welbeck, Wilshere, Carzola, Coquelin, Arteta, Rosicky will make an appearance?

Elneny
Looks like this is all we're getting. 7m, basically "blowing" a 1/10th of what we have to spend. No striker coming in. So anybody who is not yet convinced,,,,,,, any club in our position would be breaking the bank to buy a striker who will win us the league. But then again, we are a business, and we are not going to spend 50m to win a title worth 25, are we??

Sounds like a storms coming.....

Wellbeck has had another setback, doubt we will see much of him this season TBF with our medical team on the caseNos89 wrote:Wenger saying he's gonna be busy during this transfer window doesn't mean he's gonna be busy doing transfers in. Looks like the Egyptian guy is on his way, just what we need another lightweight midfielder, not seen him play but does not look what we need at first look

Arteta, carzola ,flamini ,wilshere and coquelin out injured and you don't think we need a midfielder
Yes true but at around 5 million, not the finished article and must go down as a gamble from our great leader
Re: Is it time for a Jan Transfer Window Thread Yet?
To clarify above we need a midfield player with physical presence someone who can win challenges in the middle of the park and not let teams like Southampton out muscle us, we are very vulnerable to this approachRedarmy wrote:Wellbeck has had another setback, doubt we will see much of him this season TBF with our medical team on the caseNos89 wrote:Wenger saying he's gonna be busy during this transfer window doesn't mean he's gonna be busy doing transfers in. Re: Elneny
I've said it already, if the lad has great potential then that is good, but we need a signing that will make a big positive impact now cos this league may not be within our grasp next season.
I've seen people defend henry's decision to leave us when he did (on a different thread) based on his realisation that we as a club were not going to win the big trophies at that time, so what kind of thoughts do you think ozil and sanchez will have to this signing ? A lot of our players will welcome this signing cos it isnt a big name signing and wont threaten the futures of many of our players, but the big players (like ozil and sanchez) want to win trophies and signing this UNPROVEN guy doesnt send out a message of a club ambitious to win the big prizes

Re: Is it time for a Jan Transfer Window Thread Yet?
as Wenker repeatedly tells us quality players aren't available during the January transfer window.its bloody amazing how Chelsea, utd, city and any club with ambition always seem to find them

Re: Is it time for a Jan Transfer Window Thread Yet?
I've merged the Elneny thread into here. We'll have a thread for our new superstar when we see him on Pravda in an Arsenal shirt, until then he is just a rumour.

just been reading the Elneny deal might not happen as he doesn't have enough points for a work permit, apparently its now a round the houses job to get him in,whats the odds we buy him and he stays on loan at Basel, best place for him anyway

Yeah, looks like he does not meet the criteria for a work permit at presentmarkyp wrote:just been reading the Elneny deal might not happen as he doesn't have enough points for a work permit, apparently its now a round the houses job to get him in,whats the odds we buy him and he stays on loan at Basel, best place for him anyway

Wenker is too busy scouting 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to think about inconsequential things like work permits for dogs sake.
Who Else Is There ?
