THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Wenger supporters are using a failed argument of lack of money to prop up a manager whose time has come and gone. For the life of me I dont understand why. :?

I don't understand how you're not comprehending this, you're forcing me to defend Wenger to the point of no fucking return, if we compare monies as has been pointed out on here we HAVE THE FOURTH LARGEST WAGE BILL

OK OK so lets compare transfer expenditure too so that way we have a complete reflection on who is performing to their level, who is over performing and who is under performing

What your suggesting is Wenger has a huge pile of dosh that he would be allowed to spend on wages and player transfers, in other words complete parity with the other 3 OR even more than the other 3, if this is what you're suggesting then I would have to say you are 100% wrong 8)

No domestic title since 2004.

No European success in Wenger’s whole tenure. :?

Which is in fact 100% accurate. It's no secret - we are swimming in cash that Wenger won't spend, for whatever reason.

Could it be that hes an arrogant, stubborn egotist whos hellbent on proving everyone else wrong and prove that he really is an innovative genius? Meanwhile sacrificing and harmi g chances of success?
Or is it because hes too cowardly to spend big incase it all goes tits-up and hes proven to be an imposter? Meanwhile sacrificing and harming chances of success

Haven't all the other managers got the 30 years experience to realise that nobody is available in January ?

Oh how we will laugh at those idiots, making signings to strengthen their teams.

My personal guess, as it removes his last excuse that he hides behind. (Although the ego / vanity / project is also true too)

Absolutely. I think it's that massive cheque that saw us thrashed 4-0 at Southampton
Oil money also responsible for 8-2 at OT, 4-4 at Newcastle, 5-1 at Anfield (did they find oil on the Mersey?) and of course, money is why teams like Porto, Bayern, Inter etc have all won the CL(despite spending less on wages).
I do wonder how Ferguson won all them league titles though hmmm....,

As Chelski's league position evidences this season, you definitely can't compete with oil money! Forget man-management, tactics, team selection, superior scouting etc...and yes, completely disregard that our wage bill is virtually identical to Citeh's

Lefty has finished giving Arsene the bath, could you please prepare the essential oils for his back rub?
Yeah Yeah nice input itchy and thanks and all that but I was aiming my questions at the adults on here and it would help immensely if their Gooners too.
