Slightly going off topic I always get the impression from him, that playing for England is more important than playing for arsenal.

Me too - the interview a few years ago when he spoke about needing to get some consistency to get his England place, seen him make no reference to the need to perform well for his club and it felt like we were taken for granted or second best

Michael Owen was another player, while at Newcastle when he was out injured for a while ,anytime he was interviewed he always talked about getting back playing for England, and never once mentioned Newcastle who were paying his wages.

He's going to score a hat trick today I'm sure of it (if I can just get him to look at this thread to fire him up )
He has his limitations we all know that and I get the criticism about him caring more for playing for England but isn't it every pro footballers dream to play for their country, I think your confusing ambition with priority.
He always looks like he loves playing for The Arsenal to me and unlike giroud, when anyone other than himself scores he celebrates like it means something whereas giroud is still arguing with the ref for a shirt pull totally oblivious to it all.
Come on Theo

Seeing the above posts, I immediately thought of Owen toomcdowell42 wrote:Michael Owen was another player, while at Newcastle when he was out injured for a while ,anytime he was interviewed he always talked about getting back playing for England, and never once mentioned Newcastle who were paying his wages.

They are kind of similar in their slightly-too-polished interviews that they give. It's all about their 'brand'.
Hopefully Walcott won't go on to become a boring co-commentator as well

I've defended some of the OTT attacks on Theo on these pages, but this season he has been hopeless.
Pretty much his only weapon his pace (and that's not what it once was) and he rarely uses it.
I don't remember him getting free in behind them once today.

He makes these brain dead runs in behind the defence and I sometimes look at him and think nobody's passing it to you you dopey prick and now you're fucking 10 yards offside! His piece de resistance is falling over the ball when running with it, lost count of how many times I've seen that. Iwobi has got to be given a chance ahead of him or the Ox as both have been utter horse shit all season.

I notice even if he is On-side, they don't pass to him....

To answer the question in the thread title; Centre forward or winger. At Crystal Palace. Thank you.

Why would he go there, when he can earn a fortune trotting around the pitch for us?DB10GOONER wrote:To answer the question in the thread title; Centre forward or winger. At Crystal Palace. Thank you.
Re: WALCOTT - which position is best etc?
His face when subbed was not pleasant.
Why upset?..not like he was having a blinder.

Re: WALCOTT - which position is best etc?
He is a lazy fucker, gets beaten then does not track back, only seen him put in a real effort recently that was Man Utd at home.... incredibly self promoting, really been a passenger in a lot of games, looses ball far too easily, could go on....spell in reserves is due
Hopefully will be dropped now Sanchez is back, would even give Iwobi a chance now in front of Wally
