As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I think the problem is the very obvious way he does it.
We were ok in that game until we went defensive. The Mousers were huffing and puffing but never looked like scoring a 3rd. The crowd had quietened down. We had it won. Then he takes off Ramsey and Ozil and brings on Gibbs and Arteta and that sent the signal to Klopp and the mouser players that we were gonna sit back and try defend. It also got their crowd re-motivated and that fired up their players and they just came at us flat out. We invited them onto us and we are NOT good enough at the back to hold out like that.
It's like the media and pundit criticism of Wenger for "not doing tactics" has finally hurt him enough to make him try and do tactics. The problem is he doesn't have the tactical nous to do it right and goes in OTT and just takes off 2 attackers and sticks on 2 defenders. It's child like. Other managers eat that alive tbh.
You have hit the nail on the head mate, that tactics all fine if you have a defence that can hold out, but ours are not that good
He left us with nobody on the pitch who would offer any counter-attacking threat or pace to keep their defenders honest or hassle them in possession, he left us with nobody on the pitch who would retain possession or use the ball wisely, and the only bloke in the team who can win a header was stood out on his feet up top.
So it wasn't a massive surprise that we were hacking the ball anywhere, it was coming straight back at us every time and that we conceded because their obvious target man had a free header from a 45-yard ball into the box.

I remember in the invincibles year, we were one nil up at home against m united. They brought on ole gunner for Fletcher and we brought on Cygan for Reyes and Silva for Henry,1-1 it finished. It still rankles with me that United can boast that even though we went the season unbeaten, we didn't beat them.
