The ''no one is coming'' Transfer Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

So I take it we've finished our business for this month then?

Unless he's signing a few more pubbers for the youth team that will end up playing in the Ryman League :banghead:

Is it so difficult to see we need upgrading in the centre back area?
A forward thinking coach would offer Everton £30m + AOC for John Stones (but be ready to outbid Chelsea), he will be the next John Terry (without the racism).
Can you imagine how that would go down at Chelsea? they cant even offer him European football
Not Wenger though, he is not ruthless enough, and of course because he hasn't got a 'for sale' sign around his neck, Clueless thinks he is not available.
If we had a top coach he would be bullying smaller clubs like Everton, just as United do, but that just isn't Wenger's style

Could be going in with a massive 3.5 million bid for a Leicester full back, not sure if wiggy will approve such reckless spending

meanwhile gossip is that Man City and Utd are eyeing up Neymar

Its this year or never for the Title

Rumoured to possibly be loaned straight back to Leicester !!
So that would really help our title bid eh.

Expect nothing, that way you can never be disappointed and anything else is a bonus.

You miserable bastards - the £4m double deal for the Nigerian youngsters is 99% done. That's what you pay your £62 per week for eh? Thank fuck for all those big commercial deals Ivan....without them we wouldn't be fishing in this pool

'Wenger to finalise Chilwell deal'

The Daily Mail is reporting that Arsene Wenger is willing to meet Leicester City's £5m valuation of left-back, Ben Chilwell.

Arsenal had their initial £3m bid for the 19-year-old rejected
, but Arsene Wenger is understood to be adamant on securing the prodigy's signature.

Huddersfield manager David Wagner, who has had the left-back on loan, was glowing in his praise of the highly-rated full-back: “He has done a very good job. He is a great English talent," said Wagner.

:D :D Lowball offers to Leicester - thanks Uncle Stan, we're living the dream these days

What happened to "We will be very busy in the transfer window".

Signed 1 player who he feels is obviously not better than captain pointsalot.

Waiting for the last day as usual and then give out saying there wasn't enough time :censored: :censored: :censored:

Don't worry though come April when the ST renewals are out there will be promises of war chests and signings galore :barscarf: :barscarf:

There was a time a transfer thread on here would have been the busiest thread on the forum, this one is as limp dicked as our manager. No one believes we're going to make any additions so what's the point!

As always, it's a mess and as always, we'll be found out by mid-March when the injuries and loss of form take effect. There is no ambition at this club, no heart, no drive to improve, no interest in anything other than just ticking along. What the fuck is that money doing sitting there? For what purpose is it intended? Why in the name of God, is it not being spent on improving things on the pitch? Fuck me, if the old *word censored* had spent money on players over the last three or four years, we would be over the horizon, 15 points ahead of everyone and walking the title race by now. There's an old phrase along the lines of 'success only comes at the point of challenge' but we're not even challenging these players, not asking them or forcing them to become better through competition for places or by bringing in strong players who can raise the bar. At Arsenal, you're in the team, in the squad or allowed to vanish until the contract runs down. Nobody is ever dropped, nobody is ever told to up their game or fuck off, nobody is ever sent to the youth team for a few weeks as a warning to others about being shit or irresponsible. For fuck's sake, Cloughie, GG, Fergie or whoever wouldn't stand there watching another fuck-up every few weeks and then accept the same shit the next time or pick the same fucking players but at Arsenal, it's perfectly acceptable, just look at the language the manager uses: ''Accident'', "Misfortune", "unlucky moment". It breeds a culture of apathy, a culture of irresponsibility and lack of drive. He got away with it 15,16, 17 years ago when he had Adams, Dixon, Keown, Seaman, Vieira and the rest because they were hard men, driven men, men who wanted to be the best for themselves and the club but for now, he's got Sanchez and that's it. One bloke who looks up for a fight, the only one who looks like he wants to challenge himself, the rest are just a bunch of lettuce leaves who have been allowed to fade into mediocrity as a result of poor management, lack of motivation and a climate of perpetual comfort. A few years ago, watching us was like a cross between the a night out with the Sex Pistols and the most disorderly stag-do ever. Now, we're like the bloke a vicar would want his daughter to marry. Fuck this, fuck it all and fuck you Wenger for allowing this to happen.

Youngsters buy wenger time and excuses. Even Elneny will need time. So it's the good old tried and tested Arsene Wenger formula :-P

If you look at it one way, Wenger is indeed very clever in his dealings, he is only stupid when it comes to team selection and tactics :D
